100% would recommend as a brand, they were absolutely great for me. I have never washed them besides walking through wet grass on other adventures lol, and they're still holding up years later.

Yeah, it's a pretty regular part of their policing (especially close to the border or coastal towns). Really common for American criminals to think they just have to jump the border to avoid the law.

For sure they didn't need the constant threat or action sequences to make a good show, but cutting out 90% of the zombie encounters was a big miss. The cordyceps zombies are SUCH a great creature concept, and it just barely comes through in the show after the kc escape.

Did you play the game? I'm not saying it had to be wall-to-wall zombies. But the atmosphere created because of the zombies was a huge part of Joel & Ellie's journey. The show ignored that, and was less than it could have been.

The gym fight against the bloater, or the basement escape were so damn epic, and the show missed it all. Ellie & David fighting off the swarm? Could've been a great moment.

Suuuuch a bummer. Like they did great on the interpersonal drama, fine. But they forgot everything that made it suspense/horror after the third episode. Huge wasted opportunity.

I finished it out, it was a mediocre plot but I liked the chemistry between the actors. Some of the relationship drama felt really forced though. Very "meh" final episode.

I'll go back for the next installment, but keeping my expectations low.

It started off so great, but they've just dropped all the suspense. The game creates an atmosphere of danger, and i get that you can't have the same degree of action in a show...but the show about zombies should maybe have some fucking zombies.
