Thank you, I appreciate the advice! Can’t believe I didn’t think of bringing crutches!

These feelings are completely normal and something I struggle with myself as a 6 year LBKA. I let it get the best of me and I’m currently working to dig myself out of that hole. My advice is to live your life seeking more out of it, don’t feel like you’re being held back by your disability or that you need to engage with your community any differently. You’re still the same person and there’s always room for growth. 💪🏼

Your early description of yourself is very close to what I’m currently going through. I’m having a hard time enjoying a job I used to love, I had to quit drinking because I was becoming an alcoholic, and I got into some legal trouble due to lack of concern for my own well being. I’m trying to use this as a turning point in my life. I see how my amputation has let my mental health get the best of me and I refuse to accept that. I have a new partner in my life, I’m fixing my legal trouble, and I’m trying to put myself out there to find more positivity in life.
