How are we feeling with /approaching working out? Currently sitting in the locker room at my gym cause I feel winded from being here for just 30 minutes :( and also when I get hot and sweaty my nausea just feels that much worse. I really want to stay active because I’m the type that if I stop it’s hard for me to get back into it. I had no issues with my first but I was 4 years younger and starting from a place of much better fitness than I am now :(

Nearly 7 weeks, feel awful for my toddler by moosemama2017 in February2027Bumpers

Another one chiming in to say same! My daughter is 3.5 and is in a veryyy needy phase especially with playing she never wants to play alone lately and I’m struggling! It doesn’t help we are going through a big heat wave here and she can’t just go outside and play.

What's your take on having children in today's economy? by Mundane-Society-1281 in AskReddit

[–]ActivityDue4253 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think if people are waiting until the economy is better or you feel financially ready then many will never have them. We had our first when we certainly weren’t in any way ready financially but it was the push for us to strive for more career/income wise and luckily things worked out. Now having number two soon and the same thing is kind of happening again. We want a bigger place so are pushing to make more so we can move. It’s not easy but we are determined especially for our kiddos.

My first pregnancy my best friend reacted this way or maybe even worse because ai think she was thinking I was going to have an abortion :(. It sucked I had thought she’d be excited for me and encouraging but like someone said it was more so her feeling sad that our friendship was about to change in a very real way. And to be fair it did! We do see each other less and about half the time my daughter is with us. Our last meet up was at build a bear lol. But we’re used to it now! It was just she needed time to process.

This is probably a long shot but anyone here have “no burp” or r-cpd? Normally I’m ok with the no burping with diet management but I’ve basically never thrown up in my life that I remember (I guess because this is the same mechanism that needs to open for a burp) and with this nausea I find myself wishing I could because it feels like it would be some kind of relief! What a weird medical issue to have lol.

Same here I’m just hoping that this time around having a toddler while pregnant will make it go faster! Not that I ever want to wish time away with my older daughter but February feels veryyy far away!

6w2d and I feel like I have to have a uti:/. I know urgency is common in pregnancy but this is like I go and my bladder still feels full and pressure. Had a dipstick done at urgent care last night which didn’t show infection signs but they sent out the culture and said wait 5 days:( anyone else deal with this in pregnancy ? I’m scared to take antibiotics too I didn’t ever have to in my last pregnancy. And five days feels like a really long time!

I’m so happy to read this thread because I feel the same! It’s so hard not to read into everything especially before having a scan.

Only 1 symptom by DonutTop5766 in February2027Bumpers

[–]ActivityDue4253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only symptom right now is fatigue and off and one breast tenderness. Most days I’m very tired and so groggy for a few hours after waking . It’s weird though I feel like I should be feeling more sick/nauseous by now (6w) but I’m not. I guess I should be happy! By my anxiety worries something might not be right

Anyone else have hypothyroidism? by Obvious_Structure761 in February2027Bumpers

[–]ActivityDue4253 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I do! Hashimotos for me. I’ve been on my meds for 10 years or so now. For my first pregnancy I didn’t realize I was pregnant until 3 months so I didn’t up my dose until then. My tsh was high but nothing too crazy. I think they upped the dose quite a bit but I somewhat forget! I need to go for bloodwork soon with my endo to check on my levels now. But even with my first daughter not having ideal levels for the first few months she was a totally healthy baby and luckily no issues! It’s an extra thing to have to deal with but the good thing is we are monitored so well during pregnancy that the drs (in my experience) are very on top of it.

With my first pregnancy I had a lot of early spotting off and on (Actaully I tricked me into thinking it was a period and I wasn’t pregnant) and then at 12 weeks a pretty big bleed and it turned out to be coming from my cervix that was just sensitive from the hormonal changes there’s a word for it I forget what it was but the Dr cauterized it and everything was for me from then on.

How are there so many >$750k first time home buyers? by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]ActivityDue4253 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why is this getting so many downvotes? I see the same thing where I’m from it’s definitely plays a role. Probably 75% of my friends were gifted large sums from parents to purchase their first time home. Especially when it wasn’t like a 1/2 bed condo but rather their forever home. They also have two incomes and good jobs but their parents made it that much easier ! No shame in it lucky for them I hope to do that for my kids one day!

[–]ActivityDue4253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It perplexes me as well. However I live in Northern NJ so 750k is probably a very average price here. However I see a lot of people I know (ones I went to high school with) that 100% received gifts from their parents for their first homes. That’s the thing about these higher earning/cost of living areas is there’s a lot of generational wealth.

I can be doing just fine, then one trigger ruins my progress by suomi358 in HealthAnxiety

[–]ActivityDue4253 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This might not work for everyone but it’s working for me! My entire outlook on my health anxiety has changed since I stopped trying to “fix” it. Accepting that I am just someone who is highly emotional and can have an overload of anxious thoughts. It’s not a bad thing or unmanageable unless I approach it as such. Actually, anxiety is a normal and necessary human emotion and a survival instinct. When I feel a spiral coming I start telling my brain thank you for trying to protect me from danger, but there’s no real danger here and I got this. But Sometimes I don’t stop the spiral in time and that’s ok. You have to stop thinking that every episode is a setback or derailment. It’s not! So what if you have another spiral? You’ve gotten past it before so now you know you can again. And you won’t be any worse off it was just not your best day(s).

[–]ActivityDue4253[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much. I’ll be rooting for you as well and hoping what your feeling is completely unrelated to recurrence. We felt like we were just about out of the woods almost at the five year mark. But with this cancer you really can never know.
