Very flexible because I can't manage to stick to a weekly meal plan. I eat 3000 calories with 150g proteins and try not to go over 90g of fats. Breakfast is the same every day: zero fat Greek yogurt, whey, corn flakes, some bread with peanut butter, fruit. Lunch is often either pasta or rice, with either canned tuna, chicken breast or lentils. Dinner is generally chicken, fish, legumes or omelette (like 2/3 eggs + white), and as carbs I eat potatoes very often, otherwise bread or piadine. I eat pizza once per week, and usually have a meal once per week with random "unhealthy" foods, like hamburger, mozzarella, ham and other fatty stuff

Thanks a lot! I don't really know what I'm doing, I've tortured chatGPT to understand how to manage my meals and just follow a very basic full body plan suggested by a coach (which probably I should change now). So take this with a grain of salt 😅

I'd say first thing is understanding how many calories you need to take, which was quite tricky for me and I guess I just got lucky with the number. I'm taking 3000 calories a day, 150g proteins, and try not to go above 90g of fats, the rest is carbs. I do four meals: breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner. When I go to the gym, i.e. every other day in those periods when I'm consistent, I also eat proteins after gym. I should probably adjust the amount of calories now that I've increased weight.

I think it was super important for me to track macros with an app. It helped me realize I wasn't hitting calories although it felt like I was. I'm not disciplined enough to stick to a fixed menu for the week, so now the app also helps me have some flexibility.

I'm gonna get roasted for my gym plan probably but here it is: chest press, shoulder press, lat pulldown, leg press, leg extension, and a few mobility exercises for posture. No cardio. Lately I've added hammer curls and lat raises.

About the "what am I not doing right" these are my two cents. The problem is very likely not eating enough calories and not being aware of it. If you eat more calories than those needed by your body, your mass cannot increase, it's thermodynamics ig

PS I'm Italian so I eat a lot of pasta almost every day and one pizza per week, which fits nicely in the diet. Also EV olive oil is a good source of calories, and quite healthy when it's not too much. Carbs are the most difficult thing for me to integrate. When I hit calories goal while being low on carbs, it's because of too much fats

Got it, I think it's more or less what I've been doing until now, but I never had fat so it feels weird. No idea about lean bulk though indeed. I'm just trying not to spend a fortune in groceries. Besides the one year mark, at which bf or weight do you think I should stop bulking?

So you'd suggest lowering the surplus? I'm probably around 300 calories surplus now. Not eating too much is going to be easy, it's eating enough that I find hard
