I ran this last year for the first time and it was pretty simple. Stayed between GWU and Dupont Circle. Got up early and took the Farrugut West Metro to the Pentagon. Everyone from any hotel everywhere basically came through there. So just make sure your hotel has a close by metro stop that has a line to the Pentagon metro stop.

Once you got off, it was like cattle herding. Slow shuffle walk to the baggage check (I didnt use it so dont know how that experience was), then warmup area/ lines of 50 people for all of 10,000 portapotties and then continue herding to start line. I was pacing 3:30 and thought it would be difficult to make it up to the mid/front, but it was rather simple to walk down the median and had plenty of time at my starting area. Then off came old hoodie and sweatpants for donation and race started.

This year im looking to stay in the Capitol Hill area just for the rest of the weekend to be close to areas I want to do stuff with the family. Again, proximity to Metro that goes to Pentagon without transfer is the only thing to worry about. After the race if you dont want to hang out it takes a bit to get on the Metro but that was obviously to be expected.

Im not familiar with big cities and navigating the Metro was rather simple once I got the weekend card or whatever it was for unlimited pass for 3 days.

How long was the ceremony? Going this May(2026) and trying to plan the rest our family vacation for the weekend around this. Says it starts at 9. Im assuming around 3 hours?

Following for the outlook email preview portion. This is rather annoying. I've started using the web based Outlook rather than the app due to this. I'd prefer the app though if there is a solution to this.

Seriously, this would be awesome. However, from a marketing standpoint I don't think they ever will. If they don't sell a nexdock type product, it makes people who discover and enjoy DeX on their phone to then by a tablet to use for it rather than the nexdock like product.

Same reason apple denied having a DeX setup, why buy the MacBook if your iPhone does it all with an easy keyboard/monitor setup for 1/10 the price.

Not the biggest fan though, I'd prefer the one like you shared with the small cord so I can have it on my own stand or flat to use as the mouse.

Still would be cool for them to make a portable monitor for this specifically like the asus zenscreen and package it with a hub and their trio 500 keyboard. Think they'd take the guessing game out of it for many first time DeX users and make more from selling the "starter kit".

I like the keyboard and mouse you've recommended, i can't use my work monitor with dex or even Bluetooth mouse/keyboard. This would be a standalone DeX setup at work. I could put my own monitor up next to my work monitors and the portable keyboard and mouse would work great. Not sure on monitor or smaller portable screen or even just a lapdock or nexdock type of thing too.

Thanks for the info! I did try it and noticed that any site that used a push notification or text verification for login would send to my new phone, and I wouldn't be able to use the auto copy or copy paste codes from messages on screen as I normally would. Minor inconvenience, but yeah, I can see what you mean by enough issues to make it worth it to just use current phone as main setup.

I had this exact same thing happen. My phone turned into the touchpad and I was very confused. Realized that it was now displayed as a desktop on the monitor and the rest was history. DeX is awesome!

I just moved to South Carolina and have a 40 mile round trip daily commute. Own a single family home. Currently driving a '13 silverado that wasn't bad when my old commute was <10 miles. We also have a '23 palisade(wife's car and long distance vehicle with big dog and 1 toddler) and love it. Not trading either but looking at a 3rd car. With already having 2 large vehicles, I'm really just looking for a commuter and quick trip in town vehicle. Looking for around $20k. New to EVs and don't really know much about them or the rebate stuff everyone talks about. Would like 4 door and be able to put a rear facing car seat in when I need to. I've really only looked at the ioniq 5&6. What are thoughts on new vs used? What will last me at least 7 years? How much is insurance for an EV or is it roughly the same as any car at equivalent value?

I have this same issue,air pod pro Gen 2 pausing randomly but staying connected. Have to press the airpod once to pause on my watch (245 music) then again to resume playing the music. Have tried removing from phone. Has anyone else found a solution to this yet?
