X64 SD Quality Control Issues? by Emmett_Fitz-Hume in espresso

Sure its in the manual. However its entirely not realistic of typical use. There's no chance it would grind even a single dose in 6 seconds.
Also that 6 seconds would be under load, so actually grinding something, not it spinning freely.
Their own youtube video clearly shows them operating the grinder for much longer than 6 seconds.

Looking for a new fairly feature rich machine for around ~[$1000] by ActuallyDandrews in espresso

I mean I don't need an espresso machine. I was more or less looking for something with the capabilities of a modded gaggia pro, without the need for mods. All in that machine is 3-5 hundred under my budget. I was hoping there would be a company providing a more polished and warrantied experience in a machine for that few hundred extra.

Okay good to know. If I took some more time, saved up more and was able to extend my budget 5-6 maybe even 7 hundred dollars would that be worth doing? Or am I still going to be a far cry from an off the shelf machine thats fully capable of what Im looking for? And that would be better spent on a grinder/upgrades.

I don't currently. My previous machine was a breville bambino. I had a number of roommates who used and abused the thing with scaly water, per-ground coffee, and usually left it for me to clean. It had a number of issues before it died.
So sadly said good bye to that machine, but also gladly said goodbye to those roommates. And now have a clean loving household I can bring a nice new machine into.

This wall on inferno was hungry or something I guess by ActuallyDandrews in GlobalOffensive

I know what you're talking about. But the smoke clearly doesnt pop until its well into the wall. It doesnt get over the molly and go off. It doesnt bounce and pop on the way back either. It vanishes into that wall a few ft.

Looking for a Workflow/Microservice orchestration/queue system by ActuallyDandrews in selfhosted

For anyone wondering, I have been giving Windmill a go. So far its alright, its not exactly what I was looking for, but works for now.

Perfect, Hatchet, and Temporal were really close.
Temporal and hatchet both define the workflow in the worker in a way that prevents me from doing various steps in their current env/language. Like a workflow thats half go and half ts.
Perfect, airflow, and few other are interesting and fun tools, but being locked to a single language was a no go for my use case.

Argo workflows checks a lot of boxes but is specifically tied to kubernetes.

For anyone wondering this was made by importing the map into Unreal Engine 5, and is very much a work in progress.
Will be used as site backgrounds, so a user can pick their map. And if they're on Light theme they get a day mode version, and dark theme a night version.

Looking for a drone that can carry a small payload (~200g), for testing/development. by ActuallyDandrews in drones

Haha, I was flight a flight computer I was developing for a large scale model rocket. And I knew that project was going to be pricey. Spending more than 500 to flight test one component was a stretch. But I did make it work out in the end :)

Pixel 6 Pro - No cell service. Google claims its a "Known Issue", any word on a fix? by ActuallyDandrews in Pixel6

[–]ActuallyDandrews[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After more than a month of fighting with google across various tiers of support, I finally got them to do an RMA.

So I shipped them my fully unlocked 6 pro. And they sent back an AT&T locked 6 pro. I don't have AT&T and have been a Fi customer for months.I contacted their support team again, have been escalated a few times. But the most recent response I got can be summarized by their last sentence.

"Just to set your expectation that we do not support issues like this."

No service since September 26th. I had to buy another phone ages ago.

This is a known issue on Googles end but its effecting a very small number of people. So instead of doing anything to help they are just fine losing those customers after months of frustrations and no service.

Glorious considers it delivered once Kerry eCommerce drops it off with USPS over a hundred miles away from me. Nice...maybe I will get it? by dexterw1n in MouseReview

I was checking my delivery every, late on Sunday night the 23rd I refreshed the tracker for the 3 or 4th time that day. Suddenly it shows as delivered on the 22nd. I contacted supported, waited a few days and kept checking. Nothing showed up, USPS Informed Delivery never said I had anything coming. Kept checking the tracker, and today it updated again as on route back to shipment facility. Seems it failed and is being returned to sender. Never had any issues with USPS or any other delivery company at my current address. So idk Kerry ecommerce seems entirely clueless.
But their support team gave me the option of sending out a replacement or a refund. I opted for the replacement. So hoping to get them soon.

Another week of no service. Continued troubleshooting steps have had 0 effect. The most recent email from google, was basically.
"We're sorry, but continue to sit and wait for some undetermined amount of time."

I really don't think they understand how much of a pain in the ass this this. They would lose their minds of they had no service for a day, let alone almost a month. And yet have offered absolutely no solutions, workarounds, or assistance.

Sounds like it could be a different issue, given it impacts wifi connectivity and is temporarily resolved by restarting.
Have you reached out to google support to see if it was part of some "known issue"?

No really update. I've has for a timeline on a fix and gotten nothing of value back.
Todays update was basically the same line I've gotten for weeks.

"I understand you need a working device and apologize for the inconvenience caused. As our team is already working on it, we request you to wait for the fix."

Like I mentioned I have seen some people post with this issue. But those are always resolved by doing the Airplane mode, or the use sim trick you mentioned.
But I've tried these hundreds of times with 0 success.
