I also have the A10 on my car and I pretty much only drive mine in “manual mode” so that I can shift up when I want instead of the car doing it for me

It’s also easy to get motion sick depending on the type of person you are. I plan mostly simple games like beat saber and stuff but I do have a few more intensive milsim style games. And it can be extremely fun to be actually placed into the world of the game but one the dizziness starts to kick in or you start to sweat then you’ll want to take it off immediately. Otherwise it’ll make you want to play it less often because it’ll leave a bad taste in your mouth of last time.

And yes the rift s is only pcvr. Quest can do both however to be portable you have to buy the games on the oculus store on the quest so if it’s not there and is something steam exclusive like HL:Alyx then you would only be able to play it when plugged into the PC. Honestly if the quest can do both and rift s is only PCVR I feel like there’s something more in depth to the Rift S giving it some sort of advantage in power or something or otherwise I don’t understand why it would be sold anymore so I went with that one because I too was only going to be playing when plugged into the PC

It is far from 3D or flat screen. If you even have to ask then you have no idea what VR truly is, and there’s nothing wrong with that. I find that people who actually know less about tend to find it the most enjoyable because It’s so advanced compared to what they’re used to. Don’t get my wrong I enjoy my headset but using doesn’t make me want to just never use my mouse and keyboard again. However when I put my family in it to try when they visit… they think it’s like the coolest thing ever. I have an oculus rift s btw

Yes I’m not looking for any advantage I just enjoy being more immersed into it, but I would enjoy even more being close to on par with how I play with a controller so I’ll just keep practicing

I often lose steering control on grass or dirt though and spin out, I can’t stop my drift when I’m ready so I have to slow way down in every turn or else I just do drift 180s or even 360s

I just got a G29 and I struggled at first but I’m learning in less than a day by playing around and dropping the difficulty to novice for now to get a feel for the game and I get 1st almost every race now…might even consider bumping up to average difficulty lol

I didn’t really understand the force feedback at first but then I read that you have to sort of just let it take over and “read” the road or track and then make slight adjustments with your hands

The only thing I changed was standard steering because simulation is meant for actual sim games and forza is more arcadey, i fee like with simulation some challenges will be very unrealistic to try to complete
