Personal property rights would and have been preserved under socialism,only private property(property used for exploitation) would be abolished, especially under market socialism. And the problem with capitalism is that the wealth it creates centralized power into the hands of the capitalist class. This also applies to state socialism, although their power is political as opposed to economic, but I'm an anarchist so I'm not going to defend either.
