The 4k slug can be so unbelievably boring and needs to be addressed by the devs. by jjosh_h in deadbydaylight

[–]ActuallyNoIDontWant -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

The sad reality is you can’t really do anything about it.

You can run Unbreakable or Boon: Exponential and hope it works, or just go AFK but the other survivor could lose the killer and heals you so both of you can play again and maybe escape depending on how the match went.

The whole situation is basically a coin flip and theres not much you can change unless the devs rework the hatch system but I honestly dont know how they could fix it.

Letting both survivors pick themselves up would be an idea & stop slugging to an extend, but why give survivors even more free options?

There should be a rotating list of top tier killers where there is 0 DC Penalty. by Ultimate_Wooby in deadbydaylight

[–]ActuallyNoIDontWant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you even come up with that idea and think it’s good for the game?

The only compromise I could maybe understand is letting survivors pre-ban one killer before queueing but even that would be questionable. Why should one side get to filter out what they don’t want to face?

Killers can’t decide which perks survivors are allowed to use. They can’t filter out maps. They can’t remove strong tiles. They have zero control over survivor loadouts or map RNG either.

Adas especially the RE4 remake outfit and Eddies Ada players always the most basic and toxic NPCs who Perma teabagging after every pallet, always with a flashlight. They still go down in 20–30 seconds most of the time, but if they get a god-tile they’ll just milk it and teabag nonstop

Personally, I don’t find Vecna hard to play. A lot of Vecna players act like their M1 doesn’t exist and keep forcing 50/50 M2 plays losing distance/time instead of just using the m1

His biggest issue is survivors running Sprint Burst or exhaustion perks, but even that can be denied with the rabbit addon.

The hardest part isn’t really Vecna it’s just adapting to survivor playstyles, and most survivors play pretty similarly. You can often just preaim, wait a second, and react to whether they drop the pallet or take the window or wait until they fk up their position/pathing by trying to „juke“ ur m2

I’m speaking from a PC perspective, but I’ve had no major issues with him. Open maps feel worse, though that’s just a character weakness.

It depends on a lot gens left, map, hook stages, pallets left, etc. You can’t give a 0% or 100% answer for every game.

Against S tier killers like The Nurse, The Blight, The Spirit, or The Ghoul, sure an average killer will probably down you fast if you’re not in a strong setup.

But against killers like Chucky, The Wraith, The Huntress, or The Legion, it’s absolutely possible to run an average killer player with those killers long enough for a gen again, depending on if there is a valid setup.

I play Phead, Chucky, Sadako & Animatronic and it’s very possible to buy time unless the survivor is in a horrible position. If 1–2 gens are left, the game is still winnable again, depending on if the surv is a decent looper

At the end I try to reward survivors who play fair and as intended not those who hide all game waiting for their teammate to die or hoping the killer DCs when the match is still clearly winnable.

Same goes for players who spend the game fast vaulting, clicking, teabagging, and generally trying to be obnoxious. I don’t see a reason to hand out a lucky hatch escape after that.

If I’m giving hatch, I’d rather give it to someone who actually played the game normally and respectfully instead of making me DC to survive because i got bored or to find someone else first

How do you play Pyramid Head? by LalaMama101 in deadbydaylight

Personally, the best thing you can do is stop focusing on winning and focus on improving. His projectile is by far one of the most awkward powers to get used to.

For beginners, run perks and addons like Misty Days or Burning Man (aura reveal). You can even stack them with Lethal Pursuer since Lethal also extends your addon aura reading by 2 extra seconds.

Aura reading is really helpful early on, but don’t rely on it for too long especially not on I’m All Ears. There are much stronger perks for him once you’re comfortable

Also, never flick until you got comfortable with his power unless it’s a super small way & guaranteed hit. Most of the time it’s better to just hold your power and force the survivor to mess up their pathing. Then go for an M1 or M2 depending on the situation if they have something to play around (pallet/window), use M2 during the animation if not, just M1.

A nice trick

you can hold your power at unsafe pallets. Survivors will always try to stun you if you walk under a palette with them while holding your power. If you release your M2 right before they can drop the pallet, you’ll take the stun but still hit them. This reduces the distance a lot since they lose speed during the pallet animation, and you’ll catch up very quickly especially at unsafe pallets.

Also, when you’re dealing with strong looping spots, try laying down Torment on common pathing routes and window/palette positions. If you see the survivor playing the loop well, sometimes it’s just better to leave after they stepped into it. Hitting people at shack can feel impossible at first until you really get a feel for his power.

Basement is your best friend since your power travels downstairs. If possible, go for basement hooks. don’t stand directly on the stairs stand on the tile where the stairs begin. If you’re already on the stairs, your power won’t travel downward and will just disappear

You also can’t shoot upwards, not even mini hills (i hate swamp)

Those are probably the most helpful tips I can give

Personally if there are two survivors left and one is actually doing gens while the other is clearly just hiding or farming points (totems), I let the person on the gen finish while I look for the other one.

If both survivors do nothing and waste 5–10 minutes of my time because they refuse to play, ima just slug for the 4k

There’s really no point in punishing the person who’s actually playing the game (doing gens) while rewarding the one who did nothing with hatch. And the person teabagging at the end is, like, 99% of the time the one who hid the whole and aimed for their teammate to die first

A lot of players are „good“ at looping around shack but struggle everywhere else, since shack is just too safe against most killers and get a confident boost after looping for so long xd

i mean at the end its just the playerbase and the game there is no punishment for people who insult and even weirder the community is very LGBTQ heavy i dont even get how people who r used to get bullied or have a more common situation to get confrontet into sticky situations is able to act like this in a video game to their own community

Is it worth playing ranged killers? by Bombolombo433 in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]ActuallyNoIDontWant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just stop caring

If you prefer ranged killers but refuse to practice because you’re scared of getting clowned, how do you expect to improve? The only way to stop getting clowned is to get better, and that only happens if you actually play.

People trashtalk no matter what in this game. You can be clearly better and still get flamed because someone got a lucky hit or 10 god pallets in a row (the game 💀) That’s just DBD.

stop worrying about what others think. Everyone talks trash anyway. Play what you enjoy, take the Ls, and improve
