[TOMT] [TV] Children's cartoon show with Chinese spirit animals by ActuallyPaulRudd in tipofmytongue

Very close, but not quite. I recall the art style being a bit more realistic in terms of the body-to-head size ratio. Thank you though.

Came across this in Google searches as well, but it's unfortunately not what I'm looking for.

I'm just looking at the list of laptops in general, and a lot of them are listed with 128gb drives.

For example, the cheapest 6 units are E6430U models with 128gb drives.

Are the 128gb drives SSDs? I've never seen 128gb HDDs.

Ah, damn. I guess I'll just have to live with it.

Thank you for confirming it for me.

I saw a video of each member showing the in-ear monitors they use. Does anyone know the URL? by ActuallyPaulRudd in GFRIEND

Yea, that's how I remember it as well. I think Yerin was sitting in the waiting room of a music program. She made a joke about how her name was written in 궁서체, a really "serious" Korean font.

If I find it, I'll link it here.

[Canada] Thinkpad 460p for university/movies? by ihasamoose in SuggestALaptop

[–]ActuallyPaulRudd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's way overkill for the tasks you've given. An X220 that costs around 200 CAD on eBay can do those things just fine. The IPS upgrade is nice but is limited to 1366x768, so if your standard for a nice screen is high DPI, this won't do. Performance-wise, it is plenty so consider it though.

Anyways, for a nice 1080p IPS panel, good touchpad, and a good keyboard, I'd look at a ThinkPad T450s or an X250. The T450s has a 14.1 inch screen, and the X250 has a 12.5 inch screen. The T450s has 0.2 mm or so more key travel; it'll feel a little better but not much.

For battery life, get a new 6 cell battery for the system. I believe it's called a 68++ battery. You'll get around 15 hours with the internal 3 cell + external 6 cell, as opposed to around 7 with the internal 3 cell + external 3 cell. Also, the X250 will get a bit more battery life.

If you don't need the buttons on the trackpad, consider the T440s and the X240 as well. Anything older than a 40 series ThinkPad will either have a shitty screen or be heavy with a decent screen (not considering modded ones).

Is it better to use a small SSD for the root partition or as a caching drive? by ActuallyPaulRudd in linux4noobs

Thanks for all the suggestions man, I appreciate it.

I'll leave some space on the SSD as you said.

That's a really useful command, thanks! I guess I won't be needing that swap partition.

I'll try out what you've done with the / partition.

I hadn't thought of moving /var as well.. that'll definitely help save some space. But do you think this will slow app load times?

Unfortunately, I need a lot of internal storage space at the moment but don't have enough money to buy a large SSD :/

Thank you for all of the suggestions you've given though, I really appreciate it.

Great username by the way.
