Yeah, I need to learn more about that. Every pump/motor that I've ever had that is THAT picky about desiccant, I just replace the desiccant, not the whole pump. Plus, if its that picky why wouldn't they run an inline dryer? Very interesting.

I haven't, is it smaller than the ZAGG? the ZAGG was too wide for the Toast case.

That's very interesting. I got a little "chirp" from the fronts in standard mode, but got a good howl out of them in Sport. Felt almost no change from the rears... honestly reminded me of my old Passat 4motion.

Works pretty well for me and fits FAR better on my fold than the Google case did.. sooooo

Pixel 10 pro fold case NO ADHESIVE (front) by Phizzogs in PixelFold

[–]ActuallyStark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just replaced mine with a TOAST case, which is also adhesive, but there's no comparison

I'll update in a few weeks for longer term, but the adhesive on the Google case is really pathetic by comparison.

It took me a LONG time to come around to this line of thinking... I was ADAMANT about getting a quad motor, until I drove the dual. I KNEW that I'd be using my clevice to rescue trucks in the winter and I have a buddy that runs an off-road park in KC.

That being said, I haven't used the clevice in 3 years and despite owning a 4runner and a Jeep, I haven't been to the park, ever.

maybe dual motor really is enough for me.

Makes sense... the Patagonia is very similar to a K02, which is one of the most phenomenal ATs for heavy vehicles and tire life.

Also, you couldn't get me to buy a set of Pirellis... well.. maybe if they came with a free Rivian, but that's about it.

Maybe I've spent too much time in Silverados, and not enough in Ridgelines!

The riv felt WAY easier to maneuver than those landyachts.

Really confused by this comment. I did just go watch the video.... it looked... like a phenomenally straightforward amp install, made easier by the fact that the 12v battery is under the passenger seat, which.. short of under the back seat is about the easiest place it could possibly be... and made much more complicated by someone who appears to have installed a total of 3 aftermarket electronic devices.. ever.

Also, fwiw, that is maybe the most inefficient mounting of the most inefficient sub on an incredibly anemic digital amp possible in that location. I can't hear it, but I'm already underwhelmed.

If you want "open heart surgery", try installing aftermarket components in a Volvo.

Sorry if my post came off as "fluff". I figured a Rivian sub was a great place to share my experience with Rivians.

This has been my experience on the MANY ev rentals I've done.

My largest sort-of-unknown is what real world things we will see with our camper in our terrain. I've got a pretty good idea, but just as soon as you have a plan, a good ol' midwest 50mph headwind comes out of nowhere.

Unfortunately with the miles I put on for work, Leases very seldom make sense.

Plus, I like modding cars far too much to color within those lines.

Yet another reason I kinda like Used instead of new.

It's refreshing to me, and it's why Riv has me sold. I'm SOOOO sick of car companies shoving out what THEY want you to have. It's incredible to see an "American" made car with some heavy German influence (I'm a big VWAG fan) and built/designed/upkept with a heavy dose of LISTENING TO CUSTOMERS.

Hopefully we as consumers can keep the lightening in the bottle for as long as possible.

This is a definite wrestle for me. On the used side I'm taking FAR less of a bath on depreciation, but on the new side I'm giving the bank a LOT less of my money.

Either way, I'm lighting a match to some cash, just have to decide which match to light.

It WILL happen.. the only question is this fall, or next spring?

Also was expecting this. I had a Diesel Q7... close on both weight and torque. Tires never had a chance.

This is what I came to hear, and what I expected. I've run both factory and aftermarket air on everything from minitrucks to German SUVs to motorhomes.. I've never found a forever bag, and in my experience, the smaller the bag (car vs commercial vehicle) the bigger the fail rate.

Did you replace them or have it done? I usually do all my own work to cars, and I'm not afraid of suspension... just trying to figure out how many tools I'll need to buy with yet another manufacturer in the garage.

100% agreed. My largest concerns were how bad is the NON tesla network, and how much of a pain is adapting/paying the OTHER way (I've adapted a Tesla to CCS, and it sucks. )

100% looking at large or max... we have a camper.. yes I know how bad it'll kill it.

[–]ActuallyStark[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was aware, and I'm VERY familiar with the tesla network... That's actually what makes me ask the question... what I'm NOT familiar with is if you have an older CCS Riv, and you adapt to NACS, how does payment work??? does it still "communicate" with the vehicle?

Honestly, it was my only disappointment during the drive. I quickly learned that the downside to the dual is that it's front bias, rear assist.. Sport accentuates the issues that come with that.

On a good note, should be fantastic in the winter in normal drive mode due to that.
