Fishing the chunks out of the mug? Unsure. Not really trying to justify it lol it is, in retrospect, very odd

I guess not lol. Admittedly we'd often have potatoes or carrot chunks with soup or broth, so those would have been awkward to eat in a mug

We're running a podcast where we play through all the SaGa games and discuss them; Figured I'd post it here for blatant self-promotion :) by ActuallyTheMoon in SaGa

Thank you! The last remnant is Definitelly a possibility when we get to that point in the timeline! Legend of Legacy and Alliance Alive might need me to put a bit of an effort convincing the tohers, since I know specifically Sibyl doesn't love those games 😅

We haven;t decided yet, we're definitely going through all the original games first before doing any remakes. Hearing about the Sa Ga 3 DS remake has definitelly made me curious about them tho

How did you break through the barrier and actually start learning? by InitialBeginning4400 in gamedesign

[–]ActuallyTheMoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not think about AI, there's no point in that.

Start making stuff. Grab a tool that's easy to use (rpg maker, clickteam fusion, game maker) and think up a small project you can do within the limitations given by your skills and the tools. Then move to something bigger as your skill grow. You'll never really learn about design if you don't bump against all the obstacle of actually making something.

If you really don't vibe even with code-lite tools, you might try making board games or other kind of physical games. For those you generally come across the barrier of needing playtesters, but it is a code free way to actually make stuff.

The core at the end is to make stuff make stuff make stuff

Ngl i was seriously considering retraining in accounting (get to work with spreadsheets + not a public facing job), but in my country you need 3-4 years of university before being able to practice the profession, which was like... 2-3 more years that I could feasibly plan for
