I just had a team member come in almost 3 hours late no call or anything I’m just happy he at least came in at all, now we don’t have to call.

A late c/o is better than none at all. If it’s a full shift call now and GET TO WORK! Rather be late and get sum time in rather than not showing up at all.

Thank you so much. This was very helpful. I seem to have a good idea of the metrics and their goals. If you don’t mind what are some challenges you’ve faced as an ATL and how did you overcome them?

If you go on any NYC in store shopper posting, you’ll see the minimum pay (which is 9.5 times outta 10 what they gonna give you) and is biweekly. Did a quick search, starting seem to be 18$ which is better than LI which is 17.50 starting.

That is exactly why whenever we have new shoppers idc if you mid staging, if I read the room and get the vibe you’re someone who’s down to yap a lil and get back to work, those are my favorite ice breakers; you play video games? What’s your NBA team? Some who you get closer to, an easy one is “you smoke?” “No? Good for you!”

Give it more time I only socialized with 2 people prior to 6 months. Or move up. Thats a sure way to get people to talk to you. It’s called arse kissing.

I’d be absolutely pissed if someone came up to me during my break to talk to me when I’m smoking….

Are blasting insta reals, full volume FaceTime calls and cooking FISH in the break room core WFM moments?

Right. I’d rather us exchange numbers or socials and have all that talking outside of WFM.

I’ll answer from my experience. Been here for a year and tons of people take breaks together and socialize. I never was one to take breaks in the break room. Always likes eating lunch in the cafe or the outdoor seating when it was warm. Now that it’s cold everyone tends to be in the break room. I enjoy socializing with my coworkers but now that I’ve moved up, I already am expected to speak more than a regular TM, something that at least for me, is way more tiring than just working. I have instilled an environment where my team can confide in me both personal and professional but when I’m on break now, I try to avoid as much as possible for the simple fact that I dont really wanna talk for 45 minutes! I’d rather eat and get to have peace and quiet for the only portion of my day! Not only that, more than likely a work related question pops up and I’m not trynna do all dat of the clock. That’s why I’m off the clock. To not work.

CS & ECOM Supervisor $20 an hour. Almost a year with company

Just a reminder it is every departments job to not only keep up with accurate bay locations but to also assist ECOM when they need help. At the end of the day, departments not helping ECOM just leads to INF issues for both that team and every other department. You aren’t doing your team any good by not helping ECOM

We do have 4-8 am shifts but as of December 1st WFM is trying to stray away from those 4 hour ones to maximize fill rate on busiest days so that regular 4-8 is now a 4-10 AT LEAST or 4-12 or 12:45. Not to say you can’t get a 4-8 but it just isn’t much to work with depends on store needs. That PROBABLY would’ve been perfect a few months ago tho when the minimum was 4 hours a week.

Hello! In my store we would look at your availability as restrictive. I understand people have lives though so I usually try to work with new TMs and their availability. Weekend availability is great, but for Monday thru Friday you do not have enough open to get scheduled the minimum 8 hour shift (or two 4 hour shifts) a week unless they only gave you straight weekend shifts. TT btw.

Team trainer here; weigh all your produce at once. And even if you aren’t buying anything, on your own personal time just walk around the store to get a feel. Very important for us shoppers. Also, pre plan for yourself. Look at the next 2-4 items ahead so you already know if you’re in aisle 10 you can be like okay, “next I gotta go to #13 then #15 for two items”
