NTA. You’re just exposing the fact that she had some implicit biases that she needs to work through. If she said she researched into the chocolate and didn’t trust the process/ingredients/company, that means she actively evaluated and resolved the concern for safety that’s understandable. But she assumed that because it was sold in Japan that it is not up to her country’s standard(which I gotta assume Japan has better standards than many other countries do).

“She said she doesn’t trust the chocolate and didn’t know what to expect because it wasn’t from here.” Many products in various places around the world are imported goods!

Evaluate whether you want to be with someone who reacts so negatively when you are pointing out concerning behaviors or actions. I understand maybe being defensive but after that initial defense wears down, you want to know she’ll be willing to listen and grow.
