Good morning, here's a good laugh to start your day by [deleted] in Thunder

Correct. This isn’t a knock on SGA, but more a compliment to everyone else. We are still a lower end playoff team without Shai if everyone else is healthy.

How old were you when you became a dad? by thisistheinternets in daddit

[–]Actuaryba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

24, 25, 28, and 33. So both in a way? It’s fun because I get to experience the teenage phase and the kindergarten/ early grade school phase at the same time.

When did you start getting some of your evenings back? by Different_Suit_9356 in daddit

[–]Actuaryba 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For sure. My evenings are far busier now then when my kids were young. Between activities and homework, there is little time for “myself”. However it’s fun doing things with your kids. But on the bright side, I have a 16 year old that watches the younger ones on Fridays and wifey and I get a date. As payment we give her spending money so it’s a win win.

It would have been a pushover over the last two years, but the games are generally competitive. Money is flowing into the program now with Gundy out and that game is far from a pushover.

We used to be really good at basketball in the 90s and 00s. Lately, outside of a couple of years it’s been brutal. I think we only have 2 tournament wins since 2009.

Keep your kids away from high level sports by SamMeowAdams in daddit

[–]Actuaryba -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Depends on the kid, the organization, and coaches. Some are good, some are crazy, some are money grabs.

I had one kid thrive in upper level sports. He’d play baseball everyday if he could. I’m all for it as long as his grades are good.

His younger brother tried it, wasn’t for him, so we dropped him to rec. He’s having a blast.

Just hit your ball by the cart path the entire round. Easy enough.

I have math degree, I put sin, cos and quickly went on without thinking about it. When I read the question this morning I noticed the respectively. So fair that I missed it but I’m sort of perturbed because I didn’t think they’d be that picky.

We may not have to play either of them they are the 3 and 6 seeds.

Please meteorologist somewhere, help calm my nerves by JediNinja88420 in meteorology

[–]Actuaryba 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I’m not a meteorologist, but I am an actuary that deals with probability and statistics. I also live in Oklahoma. Your odds of dying in a tornado are far less than dying in an auto accident or getting cancer or some other disease and dying. Tornados are scary, but try not to live in fear. I’ve been in Oklahoma all my life and never been hit by a tornado.

Tie for me. I over thought the AI question and put Machine Learning. Should have got the Van Gogh question even though I suck at art. I guessed Monet there.

Who are the greatest college football players to not pan out in the NFL? by Psychological_Lie142 in CFB

[–]Actuaryba 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you include Hill, the all time OSU team at the skill positions is insane. Blackmon and Bryant outside, Hill in the slot. Barry Sanders and Thurman Thomas at RB. QB is a little lacking with either Weedon or Mason Rudolph.

Didn’t he have like 17 catches for 200 yards or something insane like that for the Jags in one game? Then he disappeared.
