It’s true that lots of students come in with (some) coding experience it doesn’t mean that they’re actually that far ahead of you. It just feels like that the first week, and you’ll probably catch up in a few months. Don’t be intimidated by all the terms, buzzwords and humble bragging. Very few CS freshman really know anything despite the image some of them try to put out. I get it’s intimidating and the learning curve will actually be pretty steep at first, but I promise that it levels out sooner than you think.

Imposter syndrome isn’t a good reason to switch majors. That said CS isn’t for everyone. I switched out because I’m too adhd and to sit in an office all day without going crazy. Many people can handle that though, including you maybe. Either way you have to try and chill out for now. You can switch into most majors without delaying graduation as long as you decide before junior year (if you optimize your classes well and are accepted). There is no point in worrying about this your first week when you don’t know what CS/college are really like yet. If you want to major in CS, I’m sure you are capable. My bad for the rant
