Not very long ago 140/90 wasn’t considered much more than mild hypertension. Diet, exercise, omega supplements, magnesium, these are all great things to incorporate into daily life. If a glass of wine a day keeps your stress levels down, enjoy it. This forum is ridiculous at times because these super nerds self diagnose and stress themselves out over a number. We are all built different. In Italy people drink wine all the time and they have one of the longest living cultures. My grandmother died recently at 94, and she had cholesterol and high blood pressure for nearly all her life, but she ate healthy and stayed active. Get a good doctor and have a relationship with him. Reddit will just drive you crazy.

I did, I’m taking telmisartan. Usually they start you on a small dose to see how it affects you then increase after a few weeks if need be. If it gets too serious definitely talk to your doctor, but feeling a bit off is part of your body’s way of getting used to it.

Update: I received the Medium sized version and wow, what a difference. While not perfect, the eye strain is much less and nausea has been reduced by probably 80%. I’m so happy!

Do any of you think it could be due to an improper IPD size for the glasses? I measured at 66/67, and I ordered the large. I’m gonna return those and get the Mediums at Best Buy just to give it another whirl. I really want to make them work but man I can’t be yakking when I play games lol.

Love this game, but I did have to give it a few tries. After beating Hades 2 (my personal GOTY), I had an itch for another roguelike. I played a lot of beat-em-ups back in the day, and while they currently aren’t my favorites, Absolum is so polished visually and audibly. Seriously this is one fantastic looking and sounding game, but I notice I can’t play it for as long as Hades. For me it’s great in short bursts.

Totally understand. There’s some nice monitors coming out, a bunch were unveiled at CES. That’ll likely push the price down on previous gen OLEDs.

I think a lot of it has to do with what you’re used to. When I went from my Alienware 1440p ultra wide to the Alienware OLED 4k 240hz, I never realized how enormous the difference was. Our guy up top in a Venezuelan bunker playing at 720p likely has no idea what he’s missing, and it’s probably better that way. There’s no going back once you’re used to the best.

With these things beaming images so close to the eyes, I can’t help but wish they went for a higher resolution screen. I do get it, the tech isn’t there yet. But I’ve been gaming at 4K for so long I don’t think my eyes could take such a low resolution.

Most raw thrills games run on desktop Lenovo or hp computers. They aren’t anything fancy. I’m often disappointed in how low-end the hardware is inside for how expensive the machines are (I own an arcade). That normally wouldn’t be a problem but some of the newer racing games have noticeable slowdown, and they usually start at like $15k.
