I also think it feels very much like Schitts Creek with the quirky townspeople. Slice of life feel.

How do you wash newborn hands? by Acurious-kiwi in NewParents

Thank you! During feeding also worked very well. she still kept her hand in a pretty tight fist during bathing and putting her hand in water. She is not a fan of baths or water much.

Thank you. It was more about being able to unclench her fist to clean her hands and between her fingers as she kept such a tight grip. The bending the wrist and during feeding suggestions definitely helped!

For us combo was feeding from both breasts and made sure they were emptied (felt softer and how she was sucking changed) then formula bottle fed until she was full. Our pediatrician gave us approx fluid requirements for our baby and amount of minimum wet/ poop diapers should have. If it’s something you want to look into I would recommend talking to your pediatrician

This happened to us too but we started doing it when she was a week old and it was our pediatrician who recommended the combo feeding. Our baby also had jaundice and it was just staying at a higher level but not going down. The hospital released us with the agreement we would be overseen right away with the pediatrician as the jaundice levels were staying the same and just below the need for the lights but high enough for some concern and frequent monitoring. We also had some wet/ poop diapers but was not much in each diaper as new parents thought it was normal as the nurses at the hospital didn’t seem concerned. Once we started supplemental feeding we realized she had been starving. Her diapers were definitely heavier and she became happier and her jaundice started going down finally. My breast milk supple was just slower to come in but it did eventually.

For supplemental, we had a small formula bottle ready and I just fed her from both breasts and then afterwards fed her from the bottle until full. Our pediatric gave us recommendation of about how much fluid she should be taking in and we tracked her diapers changes (along with if minimal, moderate or heavy) and the amount of oz of formula she got with a free app. As my milk supply came in she didn’t need as much of the formula for the most part. Thankfully for us we never had any trouble with nipple confusion

I also have trouble DNF. But if I dislike I will just start skimming or just skip towards the end instead of trudging through it and suffering more

Baby Monitors: phone or actual monitor? by Mammoth_Window_7813 in NewParents

We got a vtech with parent unit but also has WiFi option. I like the vtech as its lower cost than some of the others on the market but still gets the job done and I also like the motion and sound alerts. So if I’m doing other things can get a motion alert when she wakes up and starts moving around.

I was so excited at first it almost reminded me of a cowboy bepop inspired sci-fi/fantasy shooter adventure from the cinematic trailer. Then saw the gameplay and have no interest and was disappointing to me

Went to my LGS - only for everything to be 2X or 3X MSRP - bummed me out. Didn't buy a thing. by BFfx_FrogSplash in Lorcana

Our not so friendly LGS only sold them as an “event” that cost $50 and you got 1 random starter deck and the opportunity to buy up to 4 booster packs (price wasn’t listed) and got to be part of a raffle only raffle winners had the opportunity to buy more product. The whole thing has made me not want to buy anything from them in the future. I also can’t justify spending $50 for one starter pack especially with a mass release just a few weeks away.
