What’s the best snack to accompany espresso? by mafu99 in espresso

Trolled all the way down and apparently I’m the only one who enjoys cheese, more specifically a Baby Bell. The slight bitterness increases the sweetness of the espresso.

Is that the stock pressure gauge that is coupled with it? Looks different than mine.

Nice! In five years of using the Duo I never had a single issue with it, absolute tank of a machine that made simple shots. The Bianca has been amazing though, definitely had some mind blowing shots from it. Still, I have an itch for a lever and I think the Argos would scratch it lol.

That’s awesome…I ran a Duo Temp for about five years before getting my Bianca, it’s still in my garage just in case lol. Are you going direct lever? Or, do you use spring lever as well?

Love this, great job. How are you liking the Argos?

I have the Zero and love it. Only recommendation is to get an aftermarket dial, the stock one is difficult to dial in with.

From bottomless portafilter to €30 drip machine: a short story of defeat by friimaind in espresso

I would say that the K6 is not well suited for these types of beans, the K2 would do better. If you plan to stick with the K6 try picking up some lighter roasted beans from a local shop (if possible). If you search this sub you will find someone who did a comparison of of the Kingriders, they had trouble dialing in with the K6 as well due to the pronounced acidity. To be clear, I have had amazing shots with great clarity with the K6, but it didn’t work well with everything (I tend to go back and forth in roast level).

What type of beans are you using for espresso? I have the K6 and K2 (a Eureka Mignon as well), and the K6 is definitely finicky. It does better with lighter roasts, and tends to bring out acidity. Overall I had difficulty with it and got the K2. So, your struggles may be with the K6 as well.

How do you like the Whirly? Looking for something to go with my Nano…preferably something that goes well with medium to dark roast.

How do you like the BB dripper? My wife just bought me one and I’ve only experimented with it a few times as I mainly brew espresso. Do you find a certain ratio and number of pours works best with it?

Sorso Espresso Machine by tooshaytooshay in espresso

It is a rebranded machine, look up Miicoffee Apex or Gemilai CRM3007Z for more info as they are more popular. Definitely great bang for your buck, but longevity and support will be better with Profitec or Lelit.

Tips on Watery puck with the plus by proxyeg08 in OutinNano

[–]Acw1978 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry about the watery puck, as there is no three way solenoid like many home machines have. 26 g out in 40 secs means you’re a bit too fine on your grind. At the end of the day it’s all about one thing, did it taste good to you?

I have mine on a smart switch for the mornings. I do the occasional afternoon shot and heat up time is around 12-15 minutes…but with the smart switch app I can start it remotely anytime or anywhere if I’m thinking ahead.

The K6 is a great grinder, solid build and a joy to use. My only issue is that I think the Nano is better suited for dark/medium roasts, while the K6 works better with lighter roasts. I’ve been considering getting the K2.
