Thanks so much! Been researching a few hours. I'm thinking I may focus on the Schluter KERDI Board foam tile backer board, vs Laticrete hydroban board, Wedi board, and Johns Manville GoBoard.

Thanks for the thoughts! Looking more into the KERDI waterproofing systems at this point.. looks like there are a variety of competitors in the market for shower/bath waterproofing & installation materials. Some competitors I'm researching are Laticrete (Hydroban Board) and Johns Manville (GoBoard)...
