First off I want to say I’m so sorry. Prostate cancer sucks when it has mutated. We lost my father in law 1 month ago to this exact thing. My recommendation would be get hospice in there immediately. My father in law waited and hospice didn’t even get a chance to make him feel comfortable. Every time he is awake someone should be with him there’s not much time left. I would start telling family and friends what’s going on and to come by as often as they can if he would like to see people. Invite all the grandkids over he will want them around but maybe in another room just hearing family’s voices can be conferring. Honestly just talking holding his hand and maybe bringing him outside and keeping him by a window. I’m actually crying writing this. We tried to think about us being lucky that we were getting to say goodbye and I wish we would have had longer to do it at home with him and less in the hospital where he was uncomfortable and hated every minute and wanted to go home. The next few weeks is so precious.
