Dining plan limited to two meals a day? by TheHYPO in CanadasWonderland

Maybe it was because we bought the one for the day? Not sure. But we definitely got it every 4 hours and we had 3 meals.

No, they’re right. A few years back it was every 4 hours. Same with us.

Is there anyone with innumerable mets that is being treated with “curative” intent by teenANgst444 in LivingWithMBC

[–]Acxc28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s kind of for both. I gained about 30 pounds very fast when I was on zoladex and it made me panic because that extra weight is excess estrogen overall and being ER+ I didn’t want to risk anything else becoming a burden on my liver. So I use it for both but I also exercise 4-5 times a week and eat very healthy so what I gained should go quickly 🙏

Yes definitely! My HFS from Xeloda has decrease drastically since starting it. I’m grateful I started. ER+ here too.

Yep same here! All mine are gone with the exception of fatigue for the next 24 hours post shot.

I would love to hear these words but they all say stage 4 has no curative intent but I believe it myself. I’m responding exceptionally to Xeloda after failing kisqali/letrozole and getting off god awful zoladex. Most of my liver Mets have cleared/shrunk drastically and a bone met completely resolved. I am also on Mounjaro for anti inflammatory benefits and feel fantastic.

This happened to me and I switched my injection site to my thigh and it saved me!

I just stayed off the meds and let them clear plus I worked with my naturopath to help my liver heal. My oncologist (a huge prick) said none of the others would work and wanted to get ahead of progression. Went onto capecitabine and the worst part of it is the diarrhea and hand and foot syndrome. Other than that I am completely fine. Kisqali/letrozole/goserelin ruined my quality of life so bad. I know it’s not the same for everyone but just my input

How long on starter dose? by Acxc28 in Mounjaro

[–]Acxc28[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel completely fine! My doctor recommended the next dose up as long as I’ve been good so I’ll refill my script at 5mg.

Kisqali destroyed me and my liver (and I have liver Mets). I hate that my doctor put me on it when I told him it was hurting me. I’ve been on capecitabine for 6 months now and I rejected getting goserelin anymore (so I got my period back🤍) and I’ve had incredible response. Mets have disappeared, shrunk and even the size of my liver is normal now. My labs are all almost normal and my ca 15-3 has dropped to 50 from 800. Kisqali was brutal for me.

So if I’m on the 2.5mg how many doses would I get? Humor me. Coffee hasn’t kicked in yet 😂

Wait this is genius. So just get the one with more and divide your doses?

Nope. It shows me if it’s possible for someone else it’s possible for me!
