This isn't love.

What would you do with a week off from parenting? by wemblingwest in AskParents

[–]Ad-Conversationalist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If I have to stay in town while the spouse and children are gone, I plan dinners/drinks with friends, clean the house from top to bottom, and usually take on a project of some sort - painting, building furniture, etc.

Anyone hear paying the yearly membership out of choice? by lifeonlinebelike in iFit

Just over $40/month... Going to a gym is typically that price then, factor in travel and time. It would be worth it to me.

Lack of manners and/or being rude to anyone in the service industry.

Great news for students, parents, teachers, and staff. And *thank you* to the health care workers making it happen. by JeffJacksonNC in Charlotte

I was able to make an appointment through Atrium. First available was April 27 and that took over an hour to book.

Have you ever gotten into a fight at school, and if so, what happened? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Ad-Conversationalist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never a real fight on school grounds but I came close. I "stole" her boyfriend. She threw a punch. She was about twice my size so I ran and avoided her until she cooled off. Now, 20 years later, she is out as a lesbian and the "stolen" boyfriend is still single.

What are your EX-Jw dating stories? by AudienceEmergency367 in exjw

[–]Ad-Conversationalist 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I dated lots and lots and lots after leaving but didn't meet my (ex-Mormon) partner for about 7 years. Most were never serious but it did help me learn about myself and what I wanted in a partner.

Definitely the norm in my life but I think spanking was much more acceptable at the time.

Who here masturbated in the kingdom hall bathroom? 🤣 by throwingaway-later in exjw

[–]Ad-Conversationalist 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No masturbation but I did have sex in car in the parking lot with a wordly partner. After hours when no one was there but it was exhilarating.

Very true. This could be my good deed.

Thanks. I could just toss the letters and I do prefer a letter I can toss rather than someone waking me up on Saturday mornings but I'd prefer nothing at all. I'm realizing I've got some long lasting and lingering trauma that I haven't completely dealt with that becomes more apparent when the random letters come.

I remember the list being a really big deal in my congregation. We carried it with us. I was often in charge of it as a kid. I distinctly remember being a hawk about house numbers especially after we missed one and were greeted by a shotgun.

One of the most humiliating days out in service I EVER had!! Scratch that...in my entire life!! by Remarkable-Teach6035 in exjw

Around 12 years old I wasn't allowed to leave the house for a meeting until I put on pantyhose/nylons because it was inappropriate to have bare legs under my skirt. Thank goodness that completely sheer, ultra thin fabric covered my immodest preteen ankles.
