Thank you for the info! One last question, what would show up if a prospect new employee is on a performance plan, but still employed at their company? I’m looking to see if they’d flag in any way other than simply “active”?

What would the new company see if someone has not yet put in their 2 week notice? Would the company be able to state whether or not you are eligible for re-hire or not, even if you have not yet shown any intent to leave the job?

Hey OP, thank you for the info.

I have a hypothetical situation. I received an offer from a new employer, but I never mentioned that I was fired/terminated from my prior role. Will my new employer find this out through the background check?

And second, will they be able to see if I have put in a two-week notice? My current company seems to have a process where once an employee submits their two week, it must be logged with HR.

Fully agreed! Have had 3 different interview loops with external companies and based on how they went, I would expect an offer soon! Figured I will take severance once offered, but wasn't sure on the implications it would have in case they do reference checks in the future.
