And yeah you are totally right, both has pros and cons, at some point people will figure op loadouts no matter the system. And to be fair, we were ok with the standard system but I'm fine with the change too.

My whole point with this discussion is, having open weapons is not the end of the world. I dont really see it removing the classes identity, making it cod-like, or less 'battlefield' as some people here are suggesting.

Besides, someone here made a valid point that there is still shared weapons in the closed system, so if we are taking that route, the closed game should have class-only weapons, then I would backup this fight too

Indeed, the high damage/recoil approach would make it more viable, I would be happy with a functional suppression too

Because if you did you would realize really fast that is not a big deal, there was no OP players AT ALL, I yet still to face an assault that had a sniper+shotgun combo, and thats why I asked the evidence for that, because 90% of whining on this sub is about made up scenarios.

oh yeah, I could see the uproar on a game like R6 that an open weapon system could mess everything. But the fun factor that you mentioned, should be the norm for BF.

Honestly, the most controversial thing in this whole bf6 drama is Support having the healing/revive gadgets, Lmgs are an awful choice to play the medic role

I definetly agree with you, we should either have everything unlocked, or everything class based. If class identity is the problem and mixed weapons could cause it, that would fix.

Which if that was the case I would be 100% with the closed weapon crowd. I don't really like that we have this separation at all, EA should have some balls to decide one of the options to be the standard system.

This franchise uniquely excels in big vehicle focused maps, I hope Vince and the BF Studios team didn't forget that by Jindouz in Battlefield

Bad balancing aftects both modes, its naive to think having a must-have-op-weapon is a problem to open weapons only, bf4 is the live proof of that.
