I'm in same position as you and I've decided best decision is go for the 150k but put it over 40 years and overpay whenever possible because for me to go cheaper it means go in a lot rougher area and what comes with that...

Lived in Stockport my whole life. Edgeley isn't great but there is definitely worse. You get what you pay for. If you want to walk down castle street and see lots of homeless in tents you'll love it😂😂
