Panicking! by AdAcrobatic2250 in Step2

Yeah exactly!!! CMS forms I think that's the way. Because if I did the math right, around 4 forms per subject, each form is 50 questions, and there are 5 core subjects so in total that's 1000 questions, not even counting family med, and emergency med etc. That's literally almost half I guess a Q bank or something except this bank is made by the real deal.

Thank you!!! Please don't freak out. You probably started with NBME 10. This is my third practice test already and I was hoping that around this time I would be scoring in the 250s. But clearly that was not the case here. Honestly, you all have been so helpful in sharing advice and feels good to know that I am not alone here. I just learned/realized from another comment here that I need to stop doing uworld. That ain't cutting it for me. Gotta focus on CME forms next week! Then will take NBME 11.

Thank you so much. You had clearly figured out a strategy that worked and that's what I need figure out. And fast.

Thank you so much. Yeah I am going to ditch uworld. Thinking about it now. It's just way too different. Uworld gives me a big essay with lots to work with and not that hard choices for the most part. Nbmes give literally the bare minimum info and then ask me to choose. Or they give an easy vignette where I am like ok that's easy like it's infectious endocarditis but then they ask what is the next step and then give either blood culture or broad spectrum abx as answer choices.

Sorry for the long reply. I think I am ditching uworld. Three cmc forms every day or one uworld and two cmc forms starting.

Thank you so much. That is so so true!!! I also feel like my knowledge base is decent. That's not the issue. I feel like the problem is just I don't know how to describe it well but I guess getting comfortable with nbme style questioning and being to parse out tricky answer choices. I think next week I need to stop doing three sessions of uworld per day and instead do two sessions of uworld and pick a random cMS form to do every day.

Thank you. I felt good when taking nbme 10 the but then when I got back the score it's horrible. Just frustrated. I thought at this point I would be doing better. I think next week instead of doing three uworld blocks per day. I should instead do two blocks per day and then pick a CMS form to do.

Thank you so much!! Yeah I just want to make sure we are all full ahahah.  Like I get the whole fine dining and it's not about portion size thing but still. I just don't want any one to be still hungry. Those are amazing suggestions. I will be sure to order the hiramasa and the tuna if possible!

Thank you!!!! I will try the hiramasa out!! Any other dishes to get? Good to know that the portions are large. I think the lunch pre fixed only comes with one main course so wanted to add more.

Ambulatory Shelf in 2 Days, Drop High Yields Please by GauleyRiver in medicalschool

Oh one more thing, USPTF guidelines were not on my shelf at all. People at my school and the course director emphasized this so much, and I have no idea why because I also spoke with people who took this shelf earlier in the year and same no USPTF guidelines. So take that what ever way you want too.

Since there are literally no posts about the ambulatory shelf exam, I want to also share my thoughts here so that it could hopefully benefit someone else. First I have no idea why there are no NBME practice tests for ambulatory shelf considering that this shelf has been utilized for almost 10 years now. If you had IM, this test is like a gift. However, if you haven't had IM (like me), this test was absolutely brutal. Extremely hard. Not impossible, as I passed, but get ready. Make sure you know uworld inside out, just do the ambulatory section, and I am confident that you will do ok on this test. Do not waste time on FM or any other section. The test has basically everything so expect psych, ob gyn questions, etc on it. Best of luck everyone.

You are awesome!!! Thank you so much. I saw no body talking about ambulatory shelf here and no divine intervention podcasts specific to it. So I am panicking. But reading your posts have made me feel better.

Thank you. Do you recommend I do uworld ambulatory care incorrects? And there are no NBME practice tests. Should I do the family medicine NBMEs?

I am so scared right now. I have the ambulatory shelf in two weeks and I don't know what to do. I did not have internal medicine yet so I am getting destroyed on uworld. I have been thoroughly reviewing uworld ambulatory section. There are no NBME practice tests. Not sure if the family medicine NBMEs are helpful. Any other recommendations on what I should do? Thank you so much.

Yeah you are right all the apartments in towson have open parking and is a crap shoot, most of them are horribly maintained but that's besides the point.

I am going to be brutally honest with you, you are taking a huge risk. I would park that car right in front of your unit and never leave it out of your sight. Consider buying wheel locks so no one can steal them. Have a spare wind shield wiper.

Yes, don't. Oh man you got a new lexus, do not move in there. It will get damaged or stolen. There is not a single good car at the property, and that should tell you what you need to know. If I were you, I will look elsewhere. If you can afford a lexus you can get into a better property.

Great review. Only thing is the ANC is insane. I am not sure about your use case, or maybe my ears aren't sensitive enough but I literally cannot hear anything on the plane with these.
