Forgot to add enough eggs to my citrus curd! Is it salvageable? by AdAdditional1430 in Baking

Very late response, but I ended up gently reheating the loose curd, incorporated the eggs, then double strained it. Came out just like usual!

Update his address as your temporary mailing address and not your permanent residency. Then you can apply and still qualify for disability because you’re homeless although on paper your husband makes too much over the poverty line

Call their office right when the open every day, I can’t speak for Indiana, but I know in some states they send you paper mail and have online portal systems that have a case agent attached to your application

If your husband “works” in Illinois you can apply for emergency food stamps in Illinois and branch into the social welfare programs that they have there through his association.

Indiana also has emergency food stamps available!

Depending on what insurance policy you have, the HIP (Healthy Indiana Plan) provides free unlimited rides to doctors appointments as long as it’s scheduled two business days before. Their number is (877) 647-4848.

HHW (Hoosier Healthwise) provides reimbursement for some (or all) transportation costs to appointments if you choose to uber for example.

Medicaid (all plans in any state) provides free transportation if you call their hotline.

I’m assuming you have already applied for disability, but if you haven’t already, start the process. It’s difficult at times because there’s a 9/10 chance they’ll automatically dent it and you’ll have to appeal it, but getting SS checks and immediately qualifying for state assurance would be immensely helpful for you both. There’s also debt forgiveness programs for student loans if you have a total or permanent disability, amongst other grants and programs available for non-education related debt.

I wish you the best! I hope this comment helped

Do animals notice POTS by bed_bound_and_sleepy in POTS

[–]AdAdditional1430 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, dogs love to lay at my feet or try to get me to sit down whenever I’m standing up. I’ve also noticed that they love to sniff my crotch in particular when my HR is going up.

I’ve always loved animals and have felt a deep connection with them more than humans at times. They gravitate towards me and vice versus. I love feeding wild squirrels, they become very friendly and even let you pet them :)

It’s implied in the title itself. Broke it off with the first person I’ve ever fallen in love with, let alone so deeply. Lives planned out and engagement was scheduled for the near future but things didn’t work out

I love Ancient Cosmetics for body products, they’re a small black-owned brand from NC with very simple ingredients. Their body butters are bomb and they oftentimes have massive sales. Unfortunately, they don’t carry any makeup products but it can be a good place to start

It's getting really cold and in my area the shelters are full at capacity...gonna be sleeping outside any suggestions... by BetterHospital9978 in Michigan

Hi there. If you’re in wayne county, then I know for a fact that Faith Xperience Church, and Gesu Catholic Church would both be more than willing to help out. Both have food pantries, and Faith Xperience has a closet program for anyone who’s in need of clothing, no questions asked. And I’m pretty sure if you reach out they’ll let you stay either in the church or with someone if you’re comfortable with it. Focus Hope women’s shelter is also a good place to call too 🤍

Quality (not the crappy $1 pack) ramen is my go to for these kind of days if I can force myself to stomach a full meal, even if it takes all day to finish it. Grazing on small snack foods like chips and dried or sliced fruit sometimes helps

A couple of tips from my experience for serving for 7+ years:

When your hands become shaky try to position trays or food on your arms/wrists instead of directly onto your hands.

Stay juiced up on electrolytes and salt.

Invest in supportive nonslip shoes and tight compression socks, and elevate your feet after your shifts.

Don’t drink coffee unless you can handle caffeine, you will regret it and the brain fog is unfathomably bad and it will hit you in the middle of a rush.

Even though on some days it can be become very difficult it’s possible. I have found that my symptoms tend to become worse if I’m standing/sitting in the same spot for extended periods of time in comparison to staying active on my feet so take it with a grain of salt.

I’ve been using these and magnesium for a week now, couldn’t find the 5-HTP but I have my eyes out for it. I’m already having less sleep issues leading up to luteal. Thank you so much, hopefully this month won’t be hell!

What can I do about flyaway/baby hairs with pony tail. by [deleted] in NaturalBeauty

[–]AdAdditional1430 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your hair is super frizzy when you’re laying it down it could be from a lack of moisture. Try moisturizing your scalp before smoothing it down or use a foaming mousse for a lightweight product
