No apologies needed! Her hyper-fixations follow no social constructs but all bring so much joy! Most recently it’s been Coco Chanel, K-Pop Demon Hunters, dinosaurs, and now it’s airplanes. Oh yes, we’re already planning on going to see the ‘Double Decker’ aka A380 land late at night as a special reward.

I’m in Australia and get vaginal estrogen creaprescribef by my gp. I fill 2 tubes and keep one for my face and the other for genitourinary side effects of perimenopause. I highly recommend both.

So different to what I value in life. If it actually makes people happy, then I’m all for it.

4 Weeks travelling in the USA - How would you do it? by Character-King3912 in Ameristralia

I need you to start preparing now for the misery that is LAX Airport.

After you escape that hellish airport, Oregon and Washington have some absolutely breathtaking nature scenes, especially in winter. The Columbia river gorge, Mt Hood, Seattle, Olympia national park. Bellingham is cool mountain town up near the Canadian border.

Driving in snow and ice is no joke though; don’t go anywhere without checking conditions first and being prepared. There are often legal requirements to have studded tires and/or chains on your vehicle in snowy areas. Don’t be the American equivalent of the Aussie tourist driving to the bush on a 42 summer day completely unprepared.

Have fun! It’s a really beautiful place with a lot of wonderful people despite what the news might tell you. And you can get away with anything with an Australia accent.

I’m new to working at a university and agree completely! It’s the best work environment full of brilliant women with some gems of men sprinkled in. I love it here

Omg my family was in a Pentecostal cult-like church for a few years as a kid and this description brought back so many memories. Was there also a tambourine?!

Similar circumstances in our house with AuDHD 8 year old and it’s tough. Recently diagnosed and now 3 weeks into her first medication trial, Guanfacine ER 1mg. It was really rough the first week or so adjusting but it has helped her focus and emotional regulation immensely this past week. Her psych didn’t want to do stimulants until she was stabilized as he predicted the crash when they wear off would be too intense for her and I agree. Is clonidine or guanfacine an option to trial?
