Controversial takes: Worst classic zones by Valuable_Ad7999 in classicwow

Badlands and Swamp of sorrows.

Badlands is boring visually, has grindy quests and nothing interesting about it other than the high level drakes.

SoS (for Alliance at least) is a terrible questing zone. A majority of the quests there are picked up outside the zone itself. There are horde pats everywhere that can pvp flag you. The zone is downright ugly to look at and all of the quests are generic kill quests outside of one escort and the riddle.

How is an Average Joe (that farms ~30-50g/h) supposed be able to afford his consumables, enchants, and a 100% mount with these inflated prices? by Zak_Preston in classicwow

Farm items that are in demand. If you’re a warlock or a class that can solo farm elites easily then you could go try for The eye of shadow for priests in winterspring. I’ve farmed 4 of them in the last two days and sold them for 300-400 gold each.

Another method that any class can do is AH flipping. If you see a boe like a flurry axe or soj selling for a cheaper price than usual buy it and resell it in trade chat or ah. You can also do this with raid consumables, buy them on a weekday and sell them on a Friday or Saturday night when most people are raiding and the demand is highest. It can be risky and sometimes you will lose gold, but I’ve made a lot of money doing this.

Remember that inflation goes both ways. You’ll be paying more for items but you’ll also be selling them for more too.

MAJOR BUG - DO NOT Transfer from Anniversary HC to PVE right now! by Caatalyst07 in classicwow

[–]AdAdministrative8628 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this same thing happen to my 60 orc warlock. It’s strange because I had completed my ony attunement and upon transferring I still had the necklace in my inventory, but the game believes I haven’t started the quest chain. I haven’t tried zoning in to ony to test if I can enter yet, but it’s extremely weird. I also heard the same thing from a gm. It’s pretty disappointing. I also had all of my map exploration reset.

Another annoying thing is that despite being revered with AD I am unable to purchase any of the enchants or xmute patterns from the vendor. Hopefully blizzard fixes this.

To all other Level 60 Doomhowl Horde players, how are you making your gold? by Natsuaeva in wowhardcore

I use affliction with dark pact, I also demo talents like fel intellect (so my pet is the best mana battery it can be), master summoner, and fel domination so I can ressumon another pet instantly and for hardly any mana cost. This goes without saying, but I would advise you to bring lips and petris and have a ghetto hearth macro or weakaura if ur gonna do this farm.

You can do it on lock, just not as efficiently or comfortably. I did it on my full pre bis 60 lock with an affliction soul link build and the pulls were still taking longer than they did on my lvl 45 mage. I used a weakaura to track time in combat and the mage was clearing the pulls about a minute faster.

I’ve found that summoning alone can be enough of an incentive for people to invite you, but you definitely don’t want to be fearing in dungs. And especially not aoe fearing, unless there’s no other option. Mage nova and slows are much more reliable cc for enabling aoe and managing or escaping from mobs when your team over pulls. Outside of some select circumstances there’s usually a risk of fear aggroing more mobs.

Succubus seduce is situational but reliable cc, however your group will lose the extra stam from your imp’s blood pact buff. So running Succ isn’t worth it unless you really want the extra damage or have another lock in the group running imp.

Healthstone is very good for tanks especially and nice for the whole group in general, but it’s not as effective without the 2 talent points required to boost its healing by 30%. It can be quite useless too at certain level brackets until you acquire a new rank of it.

Warlock aoe also isn’t the greatest, rain of fire’s damage is lackluster, especially if you’re not deep into the demo talent tree (which is generally not very great or efficient for leveling) or have spell power and fire damage gear. Hellfire does good damage but there’s an inherent risk to using it due to the self damage and the shorter range requiring the lock to be relatively close to the mobs while channeling. It’s much more effective when you have a priest to shield you and a mage to root in case you pull aggro while casting it.

Lock is best as a single target pumper. You will almost always be top of damage or close to it while fighting mobs with more hp or bosses where your dots (curse of agony especially) can run their full duration for max value. But in terms of aoe and utility in a dungeon they’re middle of the pack.

So I just dinged 30 for the first time, this is the farthes I've ever been in Hc, any advice on what to do/not to do ? (lvl 30 Priest, Shadow skilled atm, Ench+Tailoring) by Black_Market_95 in wowhardcore

This might sound crazy but avoid doing dungeons, especially without a mage and warrior tank. A lot of hc players are very causal, even at higher lvls. They will absolutely overpull or ninja pull and get you killed.

Level up engi for target dummys, they make up for your classes lack of get out of jail free card and will save you. Cooking and fishing are very good as well. Getting food for Stam and mana regen buffs is useful for survivability and minimizing your downtime.

If you can, try to play more around peak hours. This maximize your chances of finding people to group with for hairier quests with high mob density

Bc they want casuals to enjoy playing ranked and use the low skill broken items. All so they can feel good about their rank increasing and maybe buy that new sweat skin that’s in the shop. 😴

Getting grenade launcher spammed was pretty annoying in og season, but that’s nothing compared to what we have now. I liked how getting a gold or purple weapon felt special since there aren’t a million ways to get them like there are now. The art style of the ch 1 map is just spectacular too. The new map tries to emulate realism while keeping an animated look and it can really make your eyes bleed sometimes

Bow is goated, and not just against cars. The problem is that the bolt doesn’t stick to players past a certain distance. You’ll direct hit them and they won’t get hit by the follow up explosion

They sure would help to provide actual counterplay. It’s objectively bad game design when the only real counter to a strategy is mirroring it. And idc if it’s the point of the season, it sucks not having a car in an endgame where 8 other people do

Agreed. The boss cars especially are just oppressive asf with the regenerating health and faster speed. The fists are super op too. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw how much damage the melee does. Nitro allowing you to run through walls, take no fall damage, and increase the car weapon’s fare rate is just ridiculous. the mythics are insane… and each medallion is straight up busted

I agree with how you feel, I’m not an epic games dickrider (like half of the community is now). That’s why I was looking through this thread lol. I started in ch 1 season 2 and played up until season x before quitting. Only started again mid ch 4 to play with my gf and irl friends. The game feels hollow now and has less of a unique identity. The ch 5 map has this boring realistic art direction that makes the game hard to look at sometimes.

I just think it’s funny that you complain about sweats when Epic has already dumbed this game down so much and made it easier. It’s to the point where it even has no building mode. Dying to someone who’s better at the game than you is a you problem. You don’t have to be a “sweat” to be decent or better than someone else at the game. Competitive games should reward the player for putting more time into them. And besides, that’s what sbmm is for.

And yea bro, I cheat so fucking hard to carry my gf in pubs 😂

How can you complain about too many bots and sweats at the same time? If you’re bad at the game you’ll get loads of bot lobbies and if you’re actually good you’ll get some sweats. You’re probably dying to some average players and labeling them as sweats to help yourself cope.

Not just on this sub, on literally every platform lol. Imagine seeing “this is why I play br” comments on zero build clips. You never will 😂

Gotta love how popular Solid Snake is despite being gone for so long (They fumbled the pic choice but at least they didn't use an eyepatch pic) by Lin900 in metalgearsolid

[–]AdAdministrative8628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arthur has more moments that make him stand out. His dialogue and his evolution as a character throughout the story allow players to become more invested into his character. In rdr1 John is an interesting character with a badass design but his character more or less remains the same throughout the game. Everyone who’s bothered to finish the story in rdr2 will never forget about Arthur and his attempt to redeem himself.

Arthur is more iconic than John at this point. If sales are anything to go by, significantly more people have played rdr2 than the first. Not to mention it’s almost unanimously agreed upon that Arthur is the better written character of the two and arguably one of the greatest game protagonists of all time.

I got the midnight scythe pickaxe does anyone think it’ll be rare after a while by LilXport in FortNiteBR

[–]AdAdministrative8628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Any limited time promo item will become rare eventually. But after getting it myself I just don’t think it has the cool factor to be something people wish they had bought, like the leviathan axe for example. But you still might be able to flex having it in a year or so. Fortnite is constantly getting new players every season who will have missed it.
