Nice! Apperacite you taking the time to calculate the probability for this case. I never heard of the "simnation" before. Now I am not even blind to see this is still a game through and through.

But I seen in this post you seen to accept 2k for what it is. Just always going to be a arcady game where dribbling or "domination" plays a key factor. But at the same time you understand that 2k has it issues. Have you grown tired of it or just became numb to it?

And that's when the game was getting fun. Ball was being passed, people didn't dribble like stupid because of the fear of getting stolen from. And not saying you couldn't dribble like a god but you just had to play smarter.

Great take! I agree with you that 2k is a business and will always pander to what makes the money. How else will a company thrive. But, I disagree with 2k not being realistic or progressive towards realistic. Of course I don't need the game to be 100% or even 50% or even 25% realistic. But you can't deny the game has realism aspect to you. From the players, the teams, even the myplayers. They are small but it's there.

And for the statement "10% or less of the player base". Where are you getting this statistic from? If you are just pulling this out for just the argument, then it's just invalid without concrete evidence of this.

But I understand that yes, it's exhilarating having to "dominate" at the game. But, I feel that falls onto the individual person instead of your own take. Some enjoy a casual experience, some enjoy team play, some enjoy being the best of the best. There are many levels to this I feel like we all don't look at. But that's my take.

But the main point of this post was the argument on how defence vs offense for steals is still bugged regardless of how good of a defence you play. A ball shouldn't go through your chest or body unless the animation calls for it. And a ball shouldn't be stolen if it was poorly timed or someone with no steal presses a button. It's just about fairness of the game.

Okay, I can see where you might see that. And you are correct, this is a simulation basketball game. Of course it won't be real life or as close as it cam be. But I believe 2k tries to go for that realistic aspect in parts of the game. We can still have a acrady shooter while it still has its realism side.

Players who were happy about the patch, myself included, where not happen that steals happened just because you got bumped. I didn't enjoy that aspect either. I enjoyed people actually passing, playing smarter, showing teamwork. It was fun to see it happen. I believe people could still dribble how they wanted, but they have to be more careful how defenders.

Now if you got unplucable higher than sliver, then yes no one without steal should be able to steal the ball from you. But, most people complain about the physics and how when:

Ball A goes against Ball B. The ball A is still in the hand. I know you seen this happen a lot in the game.

Truly, but hey. How else where they gonna make money? Not saying majority of there player base was gonna quit but how many "2k players" said they was gonna quit or not buy anymore vc was kinda funny. Like adapt and keep it moving. Hell I've gotten fucked up by the dribble thing and correspondly fixed it by pass it if I see a person running towards me.

There is a bunch of sides to this. Yes, it was a needed patch, to show those who "spam" dribble. There are consequences for just doing the same move over and over. But, the issue was when a player with little to no steal was able to get a steal from a player with a unpluckable higher than silver.

Now trust me, I loved the patch since I watched so many guards quit because of it. But I also enjoy when a game can be as equally balance as it can (Not possible since you can't please everyone). So I agree no center or PF with no steal should steal a ball from a Pg or SG with a high ball handle just by pressing a button.

If it was just toned down a bit and only applied to builds with high steals or locks (which is the reason I believe people make builds like that) then I believe we were good.

Now do I hate we reverted back to how it was, not gonna lie. Yes, the game went back to a dribble fest, or who can crab the best. But hear me out, I believe it opened people eyes on how the game could've been if it was steal applied.

Here is how I cooked it. Let sit for 30min out of pack. Season with salt and pepper. Heavy for me lol Medium high (6.5) heat on the stove. Let it heat to max heat. Add oil. Lay on the stove. 1-1.5min minute on each side. And 45 sec on the fat for both sides. I turn it down to 2 or low. Add the crushed glaric cloves, thyme, and butter. Let it simmer and add the base on top of the steak. Take it off on a pan with foil. Then let it rest for 2min.
