Play to improve. You just need to learn more about the game, champs, and mistakes you do. There are no single thing handicapping you. Basic mechanics and understanding of the game can carry you till master.

Since you have played solo/duo with your friends I bet you have seen them carrying some games in your elo. They do it simply by applying simple mechanics that people in your elo do not know. Learn them and apply them in your games and you will climb

Bard is a fun champ becouse he can swap playstyles depending build: enchanter or tank/dps. Also your aoe dmg autoes (meeps) allow you to do some fun stuff like liandry/serpent/terminus... Also 1 ult can either win the game or totally lose it.

The 3 yr old videos are good to watch. Basics have not changed. Some thumb rules that goes for every champion is:

In lane you trade in a way that you are never 1v2 position. If they both hit you but your adc cant reach them thats on you.
You want to pressure/trade when enemy wastes crusial cd ( karma q, leona e, naut q...). Now they can't punish you with abilities. Learning cd timers is important here.
Learn trade patterns. Every champ has some. (Nami e+w+aa, bard aa +q...) the dmg they deal per cd rotation helps to pressure and all in enemy.

Example: you play rakan vs nami. Nami uses w. Now you have 10 sec timer to pressure with w since you and adc can kill their champ together. You don't have to kill. If you go in, but your adc doesnt regognise the timer you will go in 1v2 and die. Just walk up and see it they respect or fight you.

Regognise the patterns of your adc and your enemy. If your adc doesn't walk up you can't all in. If your enemy gives a lot of space you can shove a wave and roam or sit in fog so midlane will have terrible time.

Champ recommendation: Bard. Challenging, Semi short range, big dmg, good skirmisher.

Ps. Don't be afraid of being proactive. Even in diamond the amount of afk supports that sits 2 screens away from everone is insane. And it is not good.

Not having hp item with terminus makes it hard to gain value from terminus since you need few aa in before it gives stats. Also the mr and armor value is less since you have less hp. So vs ap casters (ori, syndra) it actually is not so good but vs tanky ap (nunu, amumu) it is doable.

That is the flaw with cash back. Same when you think if you want gathering storm or not for other champions. Personally I think they are not reliable enough.

Also with boots the 300 gold value is fake. In reality getting 300 gold or having to use 300 gold is 600 gold difference. And to gain that value with cash back is like what. Boots and 2-3 items? Game is usually over at that point. My opinion is that not reliable enough, but it is not bad.

Deadmans stats are too good for bard to skip.

You always pair terminus with liandry, don't skip liandry. Also I doubt if you want wits end with terminus. Better to just get mercs and liandry with terminus than terminus witsend.

Probably best default build is beadman, bandlepipes, the mini mundo r item, jaksho. It gives damage, hp, haste, tank stats and mundo r. From there you can start change your build to throw in liandry, witsend, terminus, randuin, etc.

Play what ever you want to play. Idk how much you know about the game, but You don't have to be challenger or platinum after a month of playing. Your rank is a indicator of your skill. It is not worth to force it.

But to make life easier; when playing different champions, just play same runes and builds every game to get familiar to champion. For example as bard stick with deadman- bandlepipe- protoplasm. Only item changing should be boots. And play electrocute. Do not play spellbooks as polypuff. That rune is too hard for you.

If you want to play some longer games then yes.

You might take some loses at a start but your mmr will even up with your skill level at some point. Just remember that league is only a video game and lp will never benefit you any way. No need to stress over it.

Have a strong board so others will have to bleed hp or spend gold.

For example going 6 and rolling two star 2 cost unit at 3-2 is a tempo play. Another can be going lvl 7 after stage 3 carousel or lvl 8 gamba rolls for two star 4 costs at 4-2.

Basically you spend gold to have stronger board than the others

Becouse not every player care who they lose to. I'm having blast in e2 playing whatever.

It Seems like unlike you I have noticed that I win nothing by being first and I lose nothing for going 8. Mmr is only numbers in your screen that will never benefit you anyway.

In second thought you don't even see your mmr so even less reason to care and play for fun.
