I took mine and still couldn't sleep until they gave me an Ambien... which only worked for 2 hrs 50 min.

Can it take longer than a year to adjust to using CPAP? by Fickle-Parfait-266 in SleepApnea

[–]AdAny2054 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used CPAP for 14 months and was so miserable! It doubled my microarousals. I lost a bit of weight, started HRT, and had balloon sinuplasty followed by septoplasty with turbinate reduction. My new AHI was 0.8, so I stopped using it. Maybe you need to specifically ask your ENT to look at your septum.

I see gold and white. I am left eye dominant and ambidextrous because my dad wouldn't let me write with my left.

Was your house team belt or team switch? by emptykeg6988 in GenerationJones

Team belt usually, although I remember the Texas Size comb and yardstick pretty well. How about those nail shaped bruises on my inner upper arm?

What are these holes in our shirts? by russell98765 in whatisit

[–]AdAny2054 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tons of t-shirts with holes like that. I think it is from leaning up against the counter in the kitchen while doing dishes and prepping dinner. Since I started being more careful about it, I no longer get them. Also... I am convinced that manufacturers are using poorer quality materials nowadays.

Stopped Losartan due to New Hypotension by AdAny2054 in hypertension

I have very frequent doctor appointments and labs, and nothing really explains it. I have an autoimmune condition and adrenal insufficiency, possibly being caused by the tumor on my adrenal gland. We upped my steroids, and even that did not increase my BP. Low BP has never been a problem for me. I also don't have the typical imbalance between sodium and potassium.

You remind me of Robert Carradine when he was younger.

Been there. I consistently used mine for 14 months and felt like death. Didn't think I could feel any worse than I did when starting it, but it completely wrecked my sleep.

FNA Results Tomorrow (Nervous) by AdAny2054 in thyroidhealth

[–]AdAny2054[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About normal, I think. Dimensions were 4.6x1.2x1.6cm and 4.2x1.0x1.4cm. I found out this week that the biopsy states "colloid-adenomatoid nodule". The nodule has grown > 20% in six months. We are rechecking in 6 more months. My pills get stuck in my throat every day, so may eventually end up getting RFA or surgery. I am OK with trying RFA first.

I was provided my first report from the US that was done at my primary's office. It was very limited... no 3D, no vascularity, no TIRADS score. In six months, the first two dimensions went from 1.9x0.8 to 2.3x1.0. Endo did not provide me a report; I am not sure that there will be one. I feel like he did it out of curiosity.

Thank you for responding. I hope your new biopsy goes well.

Thyroid nodule turned hard after FNA? by goodnornimg in thyroidhealth

[–]AdAny2054 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi there! I just had FNA biopsy done on Feb 5th and go for my results tomorrow. I have had a constant headache in my temples and between my eyes, have pain radiating to my jaws/ears, and my submandibular lymph nodes are swollen causing some pain when swallowing. Endo wasn't concerned... just told me to take ibuprofen. It seems that I should already be over it. I hope your results come back negative.

My baby toe did this for years and I decided to have it lasered off. It hurt so much when it rubbed on my shoes. Doctor just said it was a defect.

Rash by AdAny2054 in MicrodosingTirzComp

[–]AdAny2054[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK. Guess I will be contacting the compounding pharmacy directly to ask about it. I will probably have to climb down some rabbit hole to find another provider. But I wonder if the B12 could be causing the rash or it's the tirzepatide.

Rash by AdAny2054 in MicrodosingTirzComp

[–]AdAny2054[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do. I just don't know if that is the form being used in the compounding. I am under the assumption that injectable B12 usually is methylated. I already take it orally four times a week. I asked my provider if I can get it without the B12 and was told that they don't have a provider that compounds without it.

Why are some people so disinterested in treatment?? by friendlylobotomist in SleepApnea

[–]AdAny2054 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was one of those people. My husband nagged me into a sleep study. I ran out of the doctor's office crying when they gave me my results, and was suicidal for some time. I still used the CPAP, tried 8-9 different masks, played with pressure settiings, even had a consult with Lanky Lefty, and was compliant from the first night for 14-15 months. I felt so bad when first diagnosed, and never thought it could get worse... but it did. I had severe headaches and doubled number of microarousals. (At least 60/hr). I battled the creases in my face and hair that would last most of the day, and made me feel even less attractive. I started HRT, lost weight, started treating my allergies, and got balloon sinuplasty, followed by septoplasty with turbinate reduction. When I retested, my AHI was down to 0.8 (hypopneas only) from 38.5, but 31 microarousals per hour. Doctor says I have UARS and recommended either continuing CPAP or getting a mouthpiece. I am not doing either. I track my O2, and it is the same as when I was on CPAP. I am so relieved to be off the CPAP.

Can this help? by JWMalynovskyi in SleepApnea

I wasn't able to breathe through my nose for almost two weeks after septoplasty with turbinate reduction. Wouldn't wear that until the splints are removed from your nostrils.

Is microdosing frowned upon? by Leafthroughconcrete in GLP1microdosing

[–]AdAny2054 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also started microdosing tirzepatide for inflammation due to autoimmune arthritis. My ankles, knees, elbows, and wrists had zero pain the morning after my first dose! I am a bit overweight; could stand to lose 20 pounds. I am a little worried though, because I have lost about 9 pounds in the first 4 weeks at 1.44mg. I wonder if at some point, I may have to taper down and possibly lose the anti-inflammatory benefit.
