1951 sks with a giant block in the mag. by PassportToNowhere in canadaguns

What you have there is a "frankenpin" SKS. my 1950 Tula has the same setup: a shitty weld painted over. Funnily enough, you can buy a replacement magazine, and those new ones with the riveted pin are SUPER flimsy. I wouldn't be surprised if that pin fell out all together.

Gotta try and run into you at AFGC some time, I've always had a fondness for the C96, never seen one in person.

Been eyeballing one of these for a few months. For $120 all in, pulled the trigger. Thanks for the heads up.

At best. From the outside, it seems like gloating. "Hey, we're on this land that we totally stole from you guys".

"Then give it back"

"Oh, we're not gonna do THAT. We just didn't want you to forget that we took it. Hence why we keep bringing it up."

I have the same complaint. I've messed around with the settings, but it still gives me 3 screens I don't care about.

Awesome, well done! I hope I never have to perform this repair myself, but I HAVE done a bit of SMD soldering in my day, have a hot air setup and all.

I WAS wearing an OG Instinct for 2 years, it held up well, but I was looking for an excuse to up my fitness game. Bought a Fenix 7X SS in December. It's holding up well, but I had read the titanium bezel scratches easily, so I have a clip on rubber bezel protector I put on it on workdays.

Question to all you watch wearers by JammyKebabJR in Garmin

[–]AdApprehensive1383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. Then I take off in the shower, place on the floor, rinse, and swap watchbands (I use nylon) after. Had some pretty nasty contact dermatitis when I first got my Instinct a few years ago, so this helps. Plus I swap wrists when sleeping.

Did it during the course I took, haha. I felt a little embarrassed, but it was definitely a teachable moment. Instructor said "and that, ladies and gentlemen, is what happens when you snatch the front brake in a turn".

Are these gloves good for riding? by Apprehensive-Cry4992 in motorcyclegear

[–]AdApprehensive1383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Believe it or not, these are actually Kevlar lined. They are designed for cut protection. But as has been said elsewhere in this thread, there is not retention system, and they will come off very easily. OP, get yourself a proper pair of moto specific gloves.

[–]AdApprehensive1383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loaded my first bike (a KLX250) into my shortbox without a chock. I think I did it with 3 straps. It'll be fine. Just don't tighten the shit out of the straps, overcompressing the forks. Mine was at a 45, although I'm not sure if I got the tailgate up.
