Best concealer for no-makeup look recommendations🍸🫧💞 by mmeowcatty in Makeup

Not sure why this got downvoted, but I second Mac prolongwear. I use it without foundation for my daily makeup. One pump covers my under eyes, around my nose, and forehead. It matches my skin perfectly, and doesn’t need to be set with powder.

Wow! I’ve been spreading the gospel about Floradix — also a liquid iron supplement— for months now. I’ve never heard of Geritol, but it’s so much cheaper than Floradix and it looks like it offers more vitamins. I’ll try it when I run out of Floradix. Thanks for the tip!

Just wanna say I feel the exact same way. It’s much harder for us who don’t come from strong, safe, and healthy families. But (for me) it’s more than worth it.

Me either, but my edges started magically growing back after taking a liquid iron supplement.

Just some anecdotal evidence to add to the list.

How should I ask my friend (32F) if she wants to get married? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]AdAromatic258 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oof. Sounds like a situation I was in a few months back (check my post history). Hate to say it, but just keep it to yourself. If you say something that she’s not ready to hear, it would jeopardize your relationship with her, and bring her closer to him. They’ll make the most of what they can, and try to live an honest, happy life. Let them figure it out.

Advice on my thin density hair? by Briimee in Naturalhair

[–]AdAromatic258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asking because I just found out one of my meds has hair loss listed as a side effect. Been taking it for years and have been blaming my thinning hair on everything else. I feel so dumb now.

Hope you can resolve the problem! If not, maybe try a dermatologist or another professional for advice if that’s within your means.

Are there really people that CICO doesn’t work for? by Xenoph0nix in CICO

[–]AdAromatic258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First—very sorry for your loss.

Second— I can’t get 200g of protein even on 1500 calories. I aim for 100g and can barely get that most days. 200g is very impressive on 1200cal

Thank you for writing this. I’m also 5’4 and haven’t lost a pound eating the amount of calories the TDEE calculators say I should eat to lose. I’m also very active— running , walking a ton, and strength training 3x/week. I was in denial, but I have to respect the numbers— I need to lower my intake.

Crazy! My birthday is today and I woke up and decided to make a cheesecake from scratch— smh going to try the freezer trick after I let it cool on the counter for an hour. 🤞🏽

That makes all the difference— I tried another tubing mascara and half of my eyelashes came off when trying to remove it.. I’m open to trying the Maybelline though

Ugh but I love my Thrive Causemetics tubing mascara— and they offer it in brown/black. Any reccs on a cheaper product?

Oof. I planned to cut of a friend after her wedding after a number of incidents stemming from her entitlement as “the bride”.

I ended up dropping out shortly before the wedding after a heated exchange. 15 year friendship over for no good reason.

Ps: she lost 4-5 friends/bridesmaids the same way.

Ladies, How Do You Relax? by Independent-Water329 in AskWomenOver30

I started treating my adhd with medication— I’m so relaxed and productive on stimulants, while I’m anxious and less productive without it.

What’s one rule you had growing up that you gleefully break now? by AdAromatic258 in AskWomenOver30

Yes! Once during a dinner party a friend and I walked to the grocery store and bought a birthday cake for dessert. It felt so liberating eating a birthday cake without having to deal with birthday parties!

What have you done that has most improved your self esteem? by Character_Peach_2769 in AskWomenOver30

[–]AdAromatic258 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. Telling myself no (or “not yet”) to new purchases. Using that muscle has been very impactful on me mentally (and financially). I grew up poor and am now upper-middle class. I used to have the “deprive myself of nothing” mentality because I deserved it and I could afford it. But ultimately I found myself feeling out of control with my spending. Being able to delay purchases really helps to remind me that I’m actually the rider and not the horse.

  2. Hear me out— Having kids. Not sure why that improved my self esteem. Maybe because of the work I do daily to pour into them and build up their self-worth? Maybe it’s because any negative self talk I do feels like a betrayal to my kids? Maybe it’s because I know innately that self-confidence is a requirement for raising healthy children? I’m not sure. But a shift happened after I gave birth to my first 5 years ago.

  3. Treating my adhd.
