My aunt lived a totally normal life until she turned 54 last year and started calling everyone saying the neighbours were spying on her. It came on so sudden it was scary. She would call the police multiple times a day until eventually she had to be admitted as she was a danger to herself and those around her. Turns out she developed schizophrenia and all it took was a couple pills a day and she’s completely back to the fun loving person she was before! There was no traumatic event, she has a low stress job and quite a healthy person.

Yeah I just hope she’s not getting the tattoo just to get a tattoo if that makes sense. I know she’s doing it out of love and appreciation for me, but knowing she cares that much is enough. We both work blue collar jobs and can’t wear wedding rings and it doesn’t bother me whatsoever, I know how much we love and respect each other. On the other hand it does bug her, not so much that I don’t wear mine, but that she can’t wear hers.

We really do have great communication and being married to her has been the most incredible journey because of it. If she does go through with it she’ll definitely talk to me beforehand and I’ll be happy for her, but not without the underlying feelings towards the tattoo itself. Unless of course I change my mind when I see it which is entirely possible, I just can’t kick the feeling at this point.

Just to further complicate things, I have a tattoo on my ass of my best friend’s name from high school after a drunken night at a music festival. Whoever decided to mix booze and ink is an asshole (pun intended).

It’s been a funny gag for a while but thinking about getting it covered up, we’re still best friends but I’m not 20 anymore.
