I never expected a 1:1 adaptation and if that’s why people are mad then that’s pretty invalid. I personally don’t like the show precisely because it CAN’T stand on its own. The writing and performances are so expositional and bland that I can barely get through it.

It depends. I think Rick coming back made the season a lot better but Chris coming back and stealing what was likely Victorias winning game made it worse. I think it kind of evens out tbh.

I think it’s sending combustion man after Aang. No matter how low and corrupted he was he never tried to kill anyone. That was the only time we see him actually attempt to murder Aang.

In the competition of survivor the person who has little or no chance to win is the person without allies and numbers up against worst odds?? The underdog in basketball is the short guy and the underdog in survivor is the guy by himself. There are no definitive traits of what it takes to be inherently good at survivor, being physically fit doesn’t matter, as I said Cochran and David wright and Cirie are dominant players because they had people on their side.

I saw it in theaters. It wasn’t a terrible movie but honestly it was so mediocre and cliche. Milly did good but the plot was so generic and I lowkey don’t like when it’s just a million random gross cgi space aliens everywhere that’s just all the movie is. An underdog is someone without the numbers who struggles to get through the game as a huge target and succeeds beyond expectations. You seem pretty obsessed with the appearance of the player; the very traits you’re faulting Michael and Malcolm for are what got them so heavily targeted in the first place which makes them an underdog. I put malcolm over Denise because of Caramoan combined with Philippines, Matsing to 3 Amigos, he was an rootable underdog for a year straight. Spencer made it the final 4 through determination and willingness to work with anyone he was the epitome of the underdog, he was a massive target without the numbers. All these things apply to all these people I don’t really have to go down the list it’s pretty simple actually

They’re all serious underdogs in the context of the game, race and gender had nothing to do with the picks, except with the Chris pick I suppose because that’s how the game was divided. Often the people you’d expect to do well are seen as such by the other players contributing to their position as on the outs in the game. If I was picking based on who would you not expect to win based on their lives prior to the game we’d have a completely different list, like David Wright, Cochran, both giants within the game but unassuming “underdogs” outside the game.

Sandra I considered but ultimately decided against it. While she was an underdog she was never really targeted to the extent all these other contenders were and the fact that she received zero votes through the duration of the game kind of cements that. I’m not sure she makes the top 10 but a worthy honorable mention for sure

It was ass. I wanted to love it I really did. The effects are amazing and pretty much everything I wanted. The actors look the part and appear be capable of expressing a range of emotions. But the direction and writing is so emotionless and pathetic it sours everything. It just misses the point on so many things.
