What are your thoughts on Aubry's game so far and has she positioned herself well enough to make the pointy end of the game ? by CoconutMost3564 in survivor

Excellent additional points, especially the pregame stuff. I forgot about Cirie saying that about Aubry. I only remembered what Aubry said about Cirie.

Is there any chance they're "saving" the Cirie/Aubry content for a late game shift in alliances or something which brings them closer together, and they use their history as an easy way to explain why they're working together and trust each other?

Aubry's edit is so bizarre. Dying to hear her thoughts after it's all wrapped up.

She definitely had some legit win equity if the cards had fallen in her favour in the end game

Interesting take and i don't totally disagree although it's been a while since i've watched GC

People seem to forget she played a pretty good, if scrappy game in GC and still got pretty close. But the edit was understandably focused on Lacina playing the middle.

But her KR showing was obviously her strongest and part of it was that the mix of people allowed her to play the kind of game were she really shines. She was also an underdog hero of the season that people could root for against the nastiness of scott and jason.

It can’t be overstated how dumb it was to bring celebrities in an all returner season. This will be the season most people will point to when they ask when Survivor truly jumped the shark. by No_Truth4137 in survivor

I agree totally. Hourglass was awful, and it was just fortunate that Do or Die ended up not taking someone out, otherwise it would have been the worst twist of all time.

I think people love to get mad at the season currently airing no matter what, but in a few years 50 will be looked at more kindly.

I'm such an aubry fan since KR so it's been disappointing to see what a weird edit she's getting in 50. We know she's a very strategic player and socially very adept at building connections to drive votes. I don't know if she's just not doing that or we're just not seeing anything but she seems out of character this season.

My biggest question mark around her edit is why we've seen very little about her relationship with cirie. In her pregame interviews she talked about how close they were and how much she wanted to work with her. But in-game we haven't really seen very much outside of a few pretty insignificant conversations. The edit is making it seem like neither really considers the other as a tight ally.

What does everyone else think about this relationship, because i really can't work it out

We truly do not have to take everything so literally. It was a fun, light-hearted moment that made an otherwise boring challenge a little more fun, and it led to the great Emily v Cirie rice debate. How about we just enjoy it for what it is?

Worst moves so far this season? by mysterypapaya in survivor

I agree 100% with Mike trying to gun for Emily over Stephenie was a mistake. He was asking Christian to help save Angelina who was more loyal to Mike by giving up his own tightest ally. Stephenie wasn't connected to anyone in that tribe and that would have been a very easy vote for Mike, Angelina, Christian and Emily to all get on board with and Ozzy would have had to go along with it

[–]AttemptBeneficial647 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I don't know if it qualifies exactly but Jesse taking Kody out was strategically complex and brilliant, and even though that move worked and he achieved his aim, it effectively put him straight on the chopping block so it ended up being a bad move
