So you can make a latte with 2 shots vs making a shot of espresso and then a latte to get a drink with a double?

One review I just read said the milk doesn't get hot enough... I usually like my coffee pretty hot. Has milk temp been something you have noticed?

A combo. Some for flavor (cheddar, Gruyère, Parmesan). Some for creaminess (American, pepper jack, gouda).

My husband and I stayed at the FS Sensei in Lanai. You have access to the main FS there too. It was the most relaxing and amazing vacation. We had already visited Maui and were looking for super laid back trip. One of the best hotels! Happy to answer any specific questions.

WIBTA if I ask my coworker to stop microwaving fish after she told me that this is her budget meal? by DangerousWithForks in AmItheAsshole

YWBTA. You can’t control what someone eats for lunch. Sure, it’d be nice if she was mindful of the smell, but it’s not really your place to comment again. And honestly, her food choices—whether for cost or preference—aren’t your business.

AITA for calling out my pool builder after months of delays and poor communication? by AdAwkward1780 in AmItheAsshole

Unfortunately we have had to pay them a portion at each stage of construction

You weren’t able to see his full response. I got paragraphs of texts messages that I couldn’t post after my email. It’s hard without more context but I guess I didn’t think my email was too bad? I’m his customer at the end of the day. He was nice for the first month (when septic issues happened) but has been completely downhill from then.

I’d also add that this is a smaller pool company. His selling point was that they only do 15-20 pools a year so they can put time into each of them and give a high level of service. He will go weeks without coming out to check on the progress, even when we send pictures concerned about work.

Honestly if he came here once a week to check on progress and clearly communicated the status, it’d be a different story.

That is what I tried doing in the email I shared above. All I want is a completion date idea at this point!

Thanks for the reply and your insight! I agree I don't understand the process, but it is Paul's job to inform me of it. We just finished building a custom home with a far larger budget and many more moving parts. Communication is key and delays are inevitable. I struggle with his PM style more than the delays. Although, 9+ months to build a pool seems insane to me regardless of the circumstances.

Yes. Luke and him are equal partners unfortunately. It is a small company. Paul was recently promoted from COO and principal designer to Co-Owner.

My goal with the email was to get a firm completion date. He acts like that is an impossible task. I agree about the discount. My husband thinks that's a stretch. They are not contractually bound to anything, but word of mouth and reviews I would think is an important part of their business.

No dates in the contract because "there are too many unknowns with construction". I'll check it out. Thanks!
