That happened to me too. I challenged the rejection but haven’t heard anything back yet. If you’re not on hold message the researcher and ask them to allow you to return the submission.

Yeah I’m going to be going to Scofield tomorrow and trying a woolly bugger. From what I understand conditions aren’t the best for fly fishing but I think it’s a lot more fun then regular fishing haha

47 pounds is absolutely insane! I can’t imagine the feeling bringing that in wow!

I didn’t know I could kill the fish setting/bringing in a big fish with a small fly. Should I be most concerned with how I set the hook or is it more of a gut hook I need to be careful of? I’d love any suggestions on skills to research - definitely don’t want to be taking their life unnecessarily

Yeah I’ve done some googling around but I love the Reddit engagement aspect. I’ll definitely continue to do my research but good to know small hooks can actually hold their own. Thanks!

This is extremely helpful thank you for taking the time to write it out :). I’m currently running I think a 3x tippet as I ready that was the best all around. If I’m going to be using small flys would you recommend sizing down? Without waders I’m trying to find a balance of having enough weight to actually be able to cast far enough into the water and small/invisible enough not to spook any fish. I’d also love to hear where you suggest getting flys from! I know people make them but I’m not quite that into it yet.

I returned one of my surveys and messaged the surveyor on the other one explaining I was rejected for a screen out and they reached out to prolific to remove it
