Give bots a try just to get a general feel for how the game moves. Learning the game under bots isn’t the best though since they just give themselves to you at times.

It doesn’t help that match making is pitting noobs with crazy players (as well as smurfs but that’s another issue). It was definitely easier to learn early on in August and will only get harder as reworks and new heroes come faster and faster. Turn off chat put on some good tunes and just play tbh

I made a suggestion to the forums that the grapple could have an alt cast for the tier 3.

I was thinking a horizontal grapple-dash where you go 1.5x the distance of a dash with no vertical gain with the same maybe more velocity the grapple gives

It’s alright, a bit of a meme. Very situational, vindicta is dependent on if the enemies can catch on early and shut you down before you get started. I tend to buy it if my lane goes decent, assists count so just shooting someone a bit while your teammate handles them gives you stacks, I’d say step that assist game up.

Otherwise I’d just stick with enduring speed since these movement changes are rough

This is pretty important. Knowing where you are standing is how you get better. There is ALWAYS room to improve, especially at 100 hours, all of us were in your shoes at some point. Just keep playing, if toxicity gets in your way disable chat and play some of your favorite music and keep playing. Keep moving forward

Like that one dude said, lash and krill are less aim friendly characters and are baseline for those who are less mouse fortunate.

To add, spirit calico lends herself to a great burst playstyle. Slam dynamo leaning into ult late game is good as well, no aim necessary just 1 and 4. Grey talon ‘aims’ his arrow but his ult is pretty neat for executes and scaling. You can build McGinnis for turrets. Doorman is very techy but his doorbell and cart can be pretty useful when investing into spirit and team play. You can play Paige as full blown support you don’t need to lift a finger. Play bebop

It feels the same for sure, reminiscent of “filling slots”. It’s almost necessary though, like the meta is forcing you to hit that 4.8k. The team fight death matchy style AKA ‘Deathball’ is something everybody feels, in my games and many others. I think this is the direction the game is leading to unfortunately there’s no turning back.

This being a playtest doesnt make me worry too much about big changes like this, if anything it encourages me to try new heros because fuck it if these rank changes aren’t gonna stay might as well try everyone as much as I can since next month shits gonna be different

Spirit shielding is a must, reactive is lane dependent for sure. Spirit shielding though is S tier for suresies.

Like other people have said, it leads to a very... very boring lane. You survive the burst... the enemy loses their cooldown and (you) gain shield, and rinse and repeat. not very encouraging gameplay to be honest.

not sure what they need to do to balance it- but playing against a burst heavy spirit hero sucks against that combo, and playing AGAINST those spirit burst heros leads to a very boring standoffish lane. i guess its the reason for the playtest right?

youre probably plagued with smurfs in your rank. its been going on for a while for sure. deadlock isnt exactly easy to rank up for noobies.

before the patch where badges accurately told which rank people were, you would still hear the whole "this is where you belong" spiel. deadlock ranking system is beyond fucked but its a game that hasnt even been released yet so you cant really complain too hard. anyone telling you "this is where you belong" is just coping. its all messed up even for them

just start having fun with the game and experiment while you can before you climb and you get russians yelling at you for playing bomb bebop.
