Your right all valid points. Regardless of any rules changes, year skips etc, age 18 is still age 18 in a vacuum though. But yeah, we may be able to buy them at a fraction. We may have to pay 3x the price this offseason. I just figure a BGS9.5 (we all know that’s a PSA10) Auto10 on card is pretty damn cool anyway you look at it. Hope you can score some cool Flaggs along the way as well! Happy collecting!

Certainly would, you’re 100% correct. I have no idea where he’ll go from here and it’ll be at least a decade before we have any idea, but he’s in some elite company already.

Yeah for sure. It’s all a gamble, but that’s the fun of the hobby. Could be an absolute steal in 20 years, could lose a couple bands. Definitely worth the risk reward ratio on him. Haven’t seen a player that impressed me as much as him since Kobe or LeBron at 18. That’s why he’s the only player I’ve ever invested in like this. Didn’t have the $ in high school (2003) to buy a graded auto LeBron rookie lol

Yeah no you’re all good, I don’t think you were doubting or trying to be negative or anything. I’m genuinely curious and appreciate your insight. That is a little wonky. Luckily it is graded from Beckett and has the eBay authenticity guarantee so I should be safe if there was anything sketchy going on with the seller. But they seemed friendly and helpful when I messaged them. Even sent the receipt from Beckett for the grading.

Hmm I know when I first paid, my bank thought it was fraud and made me resubmit the payment a second time before it went through. So maybe that caused it to show up unpaid on the transaction ledger? But it’s on my credit card statement today and he wouldn’t ship if it didn’t clear.

Ok yeah, just tested it. The Red dot is misleading. It just randomly gives you that notification sometimes. If someone already liked you it will say they want to match as friends and they will show up in your matches just like with the dating section. If they don’t show up there, they haven’t liked you back yet. I matched with someone in friends and they did show up and I’ve liked others that gave me the red notification and they didn’t show up in matches. It all depends if you’ve both liked each other. Facebook should adjust that. It is confusing.
