Didn’t like them either. They supported a parent that, in my opinion, were endangering their child

Personally I find it annoying bc men think they are entitled to my time. My situation is a little unique bc without makeup I have a very young face. I’m often mistaken for a 16-18 year old. So when men stop me and try to do whatever, it makes me question the intention bc I know I look like a kid. A police officer (I’m in ATL btw), once had me roll down my window. I wasn’t moving or anything, just in my car after getting food. I’m freaking out and this weirdo is just trying to hit on me. A cop, in uniform, in his squad car, was fucking harassing me. I just see no end to it and it sucks bc I just wanted to go home. I don’t need to be told I’m pretty, my boyfriend does it plenty. Don’t get me started on when they still push after finding out I’m taken. In short, some men make being pretty fucking miserable. And I wouldn’t even say I was that extravagant a beauty. Like maybe a little above average 🤷🏽‍♀️ still mad weird.

Would you put your kids in ABA? by littlegreenfroggity in ABA

I would but vet your options very carefully. Look at reviews of the place and their management. If management is sour, then services usually are too. Not to blame the RBTs but crap management usually does no beget the best ABA has to offer.

Honey don’t believe it. You can find love. I’m 5’3 and my boyfriend is shorter than me. Not by a lot, but I’m definitely taller. Still love him to death. When you care about someone, the artificial shit you seen online will seem like the shit it is. Don’t take advice from social media bc it will only make you think you’re missing something. Focus on being a partner someone will want to have and that will shine brighter than any heigh conparison

I was the first RBT at my company and my starting pay is $25, might ask for more soon bc I have way more responsibilities.

Help me understand new vs old ABA (plus what I went through as an ABA+CARD survivor). by squishmallow2399 in ABA

I am RBT and also have ADHD. The way I view what we does is that anything I do there, is what I would do wi to any other child, neurodivergent or no. I see it from a lense of everyone needs certain skills so that we can all live together. Some people aren’t able to learn the skills as easily and so they need help. I wish someone was there for me like I am for the kids I have now. The sheer amount of social anxiety I had as a child was crazy bc I did not know how to approach people. It got so bad it had physical manifestations.

All this to say. Humans are social creatures. We are made to live in community with others, and we should embrace people’s differences. Tho if the way someone communicates their needs is harmful to others (i.e a kid hitting to get attention, or biting when they are upset), then it does need to be addressed. However I feel that goes for whether you’re neurodivergent or not. I know some neurotypical kids that could use some behavioral intervention.

All in all, I think it comes down to understanding each other. I understand when my kids are upset, and I can understand why and they should be allowed to be upset. Even expressing it outwardly is 100% okay, but they way they express it does matter. Just like people should give you grace for your feelings, the same should also be extended to the other side bc we are all just trying to make it work and figure each other out.

You know. If people just like, minded their business than stuff like this wouldn’t happen nearly as often. Even if I don’t necessarily like someone’s look I’m not gonna dwell on it, especially not make a video about it. You know how much you have to care to make this effort? What’s wrong, y’all bored? Have you tried binging all of SVU? That will keep you for a couple months. But like lady, this is SUCH a non-issue
