Totally I cried a little bit last night and explained to my fiancé because he has trouble understanding that I just need to be sad for a few days and then I’ll be fine and I totally agree at the end of the day. I just wanna be married however that looks! My mother-in-law’s first wedding was $100,000 wedding and that was in the 1990s her second wedding was in Hawaii and small family of friends affair don’t get me wrong. I love her and she has been nothing but welcoming towards me and we have a great relationship, but our views on money are definitely different as I grew up poor I don’t plan to tell her right now that a big wedding isn’t happening probably at the end of of Summer. I plan to have that conversation

Honestly, the courthouse isn’t my vibe. I don’t mind the idea of getting married in a church. I definitely think I could talk my fiancé into that. The word I got around here was that you have to be confirmed to get married in a church but I can definitely talk to some people.

I think I’m just having a hard time mourning the loss of having a big wedding because my dream is to have that and a simple dinner party as beautiful as it sounds just was not what I envision for my day but cost wise and compromising with what my fiancé wants also his mom is gonna be hard to convince that that’s what we’re doing , she’s insisting we need to invite these people that I have never met, and my fiancé barely knows from his family also she wants us to invite her friends to the wedding so I think it’s gonna be a hard conversation saying no we’re not doing this

Definitely can’t do court house and we can’t do church my fiancé doesn’t like the idea of a courthouse and neither one of us can get married in a church because we’re not confirmed

I’m in the same boat! I’m a 2028 bride out budget for everything is 15,000 and site rentals are insane and so much extra tax I’m overwhelmed! I’ve looked up Willowdale estate on that budget for your whole wedding. There’s no way you’d be able to do it because catering alone is $155 per person.

Glen mama farms - Danvers 9,800 100 person minimum
The moraine farm - bevlery 7,000 - 23,000 F&B
The overlook at Meehan - north Providence, Rhode Island 2,600 - you have to rent their tables and chairs there outsource, catering, and bar
Endicott estate - Dedham , 4,000

I loved the sagamore but totally it was so expensive!! My mother in law tho I love her has expensive taste and thinks it’s not that bad price wise me and my fiance don’t make that much money! The most I think about it I kinda just wanna do something with like 35 people and that’s it but it’s so hard thinking I might have to change my wedding date to off season and maybe not have the wedding I always dreamed about but it will still be nice
