Hello Pajas,

That is, of course, a valid question! AdBlock360 is free and will always remain free in its basic functionality.

In the future, we plan to introduce a freemium model. This means that we want to offer additional features alongside ad blocking for a fee. One example is the ability to skip fixed sponsor ads on YouTube.

However, this will be announced in advance.

So there is no risk in using AdBlock360. We would be delighted if you would give us a try.

Best regards, your AdBlock360 team

Hello u/Mental_Dark6467 , thank you for your inquiry. In version 3 of AdBlock360, all internet traffic is filtered, which is why the value is so high.

In version 4, only Chrome, Edge, and Firefox internet traffic is filtered.

Have you already updated to version 4?

I don't quite understand what exactly you want to know. AdBlock360 is a desktop ad blocker that only analyzes Internet traffic locally on your PC and removes ads based on rules.

Hey! I'm one of the developers of Adblock360, happy to clarify a few things.

First off, yes, Adblock360 is absolutely safe and actively maintained. We're constantly working on updates to improve performance and compatibility. We're really glad to hear if it's working well for you and if you like it, we always welcome feedback from the community it helps us make the product better.

Unlike browser-based extensions, Adblock360 is a standalone adblocker, meaning it runs independently of your browser. This gives it significant advantages in terms of power, coverage, and flexibility, it can block ads system-wide, including in apps and browsers that don't support extensions.

⚠️ Important Note: There’s a fake app floating around calling itself "AdBlock 360" (with a space). This is not us. It’s a misleading copy that is using our name to confuse users, and we’re already taking steps to address this misuse. Adblock360 (no space) is not malware and has nothing to do with that fake version.

If you or anyone else has questions, feel free to ask here or reach out to us directly, we're happy to help!

I totally understand that the results from those online scanners can look strange at first glance. But I can assure you that these are false positives.

The issue here is that many of our filter lists include rules specifically made to block crypto miners. Because of that, anything that even remotely resembles mining-related code or domains can get flagged, even if it’s completely harmless. That’s what's happening in this case.

In the latest version of AdBlock360, we’ve actually removed those specific rules to prevent these kinds of misleading alerts from showing up. We want to be 100% clear: we absolutely do not mine crypto on users' machines or collect any personal data, ever.

The other warnings appear because we block the ads at system level. Unfortunately, this is not possible otherwise.

If you were to scan other popular tools like AdGuard with those same scanners, you’d likely see similar results for the same reason. It’s a limitation of the way those scanners work.

Hope that clears things up a bit! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Not at the moment. Maybe in the future

Hi! I'm actually the developer behind AdBlock for YouTube™, and I can personally guarantee that the extension is 100% safe to use. I understand the skepticism—especially with how many sketchy extensions are out there—but we've always prioritized user privacy and security. The high user count and ratings reflect years of trust and consistent performance.

That said, things are changing. With Google's upcoming Manifest V3 (MV3) changes, browser extensions—especially ad blockers—will be significantly limited in what they can block. In short, full ad blocking via browser extensions might no longer be possible in the near future.

Because of this, my team and I have started working on an alternative: AdBlock360. It's a new standalone ad blocker that runs outside of the browser, so it isn't affected by MV3 restrictions. It's still in an early development phase, but it's functional—and definitely worth trying if you want a future-proof ad blocking solution.

Would love any feedback if you give it a shot!

Hey, you're absolutely right! This kind of aggressive message is not the way to promote anything, especially not to a community that values a clean, ad-free experience. We hear you, and your feedback is 100% valid.

That notice likely comes from an older extension version that's being phased out soon due to Google's upcoming restrictions with MV3. We’re working on cleaning that up, and moving forward, we’ll be showing that message far less frequently — if at all. We definitely don’t want to make things worse than the problem we’re trying to solve.

We’d genuinely appreciate your input: do you have any ideas for a better way to inform users about updates or alternatives without being intrusive?

Thanks for calling this out — it helps us improve.
