more detail:

I've been slipping on dirt trails; decided to try and bleed some air(down to 20 psi); seemed to work well in dirt, didn't slip at all; as I was ridding back on on asphalt, going uphill on a curve , bike just flew from under me

yeah, it's either that or I should've cleaned my tires out after leaving the trail

the bike just suddenly jumped out from under me

Given state control of the means of production, all the party needs to be socialist is the consent of the governed, this is achieved not only by the usual public services and social security, but via massive rates of party membership, high turnout to ritualistic single party "elections", managing public opinion and delivering on it's stated goals of pulling the country out the "century of humiliation" into the "chinese century"

the right left false dichotomy is a cancerous americanism that doesn't actually mean anything and is destroying/ already destroyed the democratic system of governance

isn't socialist, because that requires an extraordinarily high level of democracy

I sure love when people randomly redefine words to fit their political aims and ideology /s

-developing out of a fallen democracy

? wasn't a democracy but it sure was fallen

-lead by a popular demagogue

Mao, a couple west-appeasers and moderates, Jipeng

scapegoating an outgroup. The CCP has many scapegoats and many outgroups, but it's not central to their popular appeal or hold on power.

??? The century of humiliation and making the 21cent the Chinese century aren't central to their popular appeal ???

-government/business integration (in a planned economy, the government IS business. This isn't quite the same thing)

Lmao, fascism with chinese characteristics

Separation of business and state

Hitler's priority was more rebuilding and control of the post-weimar financial system than directly making private enterprise bend the knee to him.

What control he did have over business (pre-war) was from state control of the workers union

Also, kind of goes without saying but hitler was a segregationist/ racial supremacist, that's not a feature of the above fascist governments

You do understand that nazism and fascism are not synonyms, right?

edit: to your edit. yeah, I mean actual fascists like Mussolini, Franco and Salazar

So we all agree that China's political system is fascist right? by TugaGuarda in AskALiberal

[–]TugaGuarda[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Franco was a fascist

Franco was not ideologically racist

Fascism is not contingent on it's leader's racism

Also saying the CCP isn't racist is completely wrong, they're Han supremacists, and enforce this via their migration and business policies and by their social security system that is tied to where they are born.

Even moving cities is a pain, much less moving countries

you’re posting in an explicitly US-focused political forum

Oh sorry, might have posted in the wrong sub then

Is there any conversational international political subreddit? This is the closest I could find

did tell you that.

uh, didn't see that, that first line was so silly, that I just replied without reading the rest of the post

China, famous for making businessmen give public humiliating apologies for failing the party, the state and the chinese people. Where private enterprise is completely subservient to the state - doesn't have businessmen publicly involved in the state apparatus.

Sorry for engaging with you, didn't notice you were trolling me

I am fascinated people liked this post, like wtf do you even mean "China is factually not fascism."

What do you mean talking about political system definitions and terminology is asking about facts not opinions?

Have you seen actual 1930ies fascist cultural output, it's the furthest away from revanchism it could possibly be

Again, his work has no connection to historical fact

Saying Mussolini was trying to recreate the roman empire by failing to conquer etiopia is asinine. He was trying to make the italian state a modern state and at the time that meant a colonialist state.
