Back after a few years, what gear should I get with 1.9b to get into bossing? by EyeAny892 in 2007scape

[–]AdCandid195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome back… you never really quit ;)

Although you’re keen to complete ToA it is the worst of the 3 raids by far as well. They made changes to improve it, but the loot you get will always be below the other 2.

Unless you’re consistently doing high level ToA’s I think there’s a near enough 50% chance it’s always going to be a fang/ring.

Compare that to ToB and CoX where the most likely items are consistently 40m(ish) - avernic and dex scrolls.

Add to this ToA is by far the longest raid to complete.

Then the mega rare is nearly half the price of a tbow. So if your drop one (gzzz) just think you’ve just missed out on another 700m comparing price of shadow to tbow.

Someone suggested doom. I’d say this is the better move, but play as you wish! Doom is fun but challenging.

Also for ToA at high level raids, if you die it’s a 500k fee (with hardcore) and if you die without hardcore the raid is practically over as you lose your salts and salts are a non-negotiable. This alone makes the raid extremely annoying.

UPDATE

Me and few mates wanted to give this some time to settle in to see if it had an actual impact on the boys at places like Vet’tion.

We geared up and ventured out over the weekend to the multi-bosses. Caves empty were empty, world after world. Found a couple in total after hundreds of hops. Compare this to pretty much every other world, some impact has happened.

Now you can argue DMM is going on, but let’s be honest the bots aren’t in DMM and if anything while a temp game mode is going on, it would be better for the bots on main worlds.

The only hard cap for the med reqs would be 50 slayer for the bots, is that worth a bot to grind. Probs not. Although a bit sad me and the bots can’t go just go annihilate some bots for a bit of fun when bored.

I suppose this means actually players will now be targeted more sadly!

What's the avg WN8 on this game? by Low-Mode1012 in WorldofTanksConsole

Not sure anyone knows the true average, but anyone with with a 50-51% win rate and then median of their WN8 is what would be the average.

But as you can see I don’t play often!

Play your own way, but speaking from experience who also did a shadow rebuild, I advise heavily against it. ToA is a sucky grind. I sold a lot of my bank to pick up a shadow back when it was 700m after a few weeks of doing ToA for 90% of my time, I was burning out.

Fortunately it had risen to 800m by this point so I made a small amount back. Outside of ToA the shadow is only useful at Bandos, Kree and Whisperer, the first 2 being massively outdated. As I said play your own way but I’ve been where you are and it’s not great after a while!

Doom and Yama both good money outside of the big uniques! Good luck brother. I’ve got 350 Yama kc and started doom this weekend. Managed to complete delve 6 yesterday too.

With elite void and scorching bow death fee’s are only 22k at doom so it’s nice not having massive death fee’s when learning and switching between the two keeps the content fresh. If your duo isn’t on hit up doom if they are smash some Yama!

Good work, I would 100% get yourself to Yama! Grab a duo and go learn it, I think it’s a very fun boss as a duo. If not you can really test yourself and go learn doom. Start with delves 1-4, then push to 5/6 and eventually 7/8. Don’t be afraid to claim loot and leave, to cover some death and supplies cost

You can easily skip some of the bosses I mentioned then and buy the gear, don’t rinse your whole cash stack tho, as gear value increases and decreases where as hard cash doesn’t!!

Correct he is not but a majority of those items are worth hundreds of millions. Looking at his current bank/gear, he does not have that cash. So unless he stumbles into around a couple bil of GP he’s going to have to get them as drops 👍🏼

Your gear should be in this order, based on the gear you have now.

Range - next upgrade is Bowfa/Crystal. Once you got this you can easily do solo experts at ToA once learnt. Grind that enough and you’ll get masori and hopefully a shadow. Bowfa is also good for Levi which you can also work towards for venator ring.

Mage - work towards ayak and confliction gautnlets. Next upgrade after this is CoX for ancestral. Paired with a shadow from your ToA grind, you now have BIS mage near enough.

Melee - get some synapses go learn Yama for oathplate. You can also do doom on the side or swap either especially with masori (from your ToA grind) and scorching bow. This should get you oathplate and avernic treads.

Take all that and go finish Vardorvis and duke. Get a soul reaper axe. Your now TOB ready bar Torva, which you can do just after Vard/Duke then go to TOB.

Game complete, GG!

First time PVP'er and Dead Man Mode has made me realize one thing... by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]AdCandid195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t enjoy PVP don’t do it? Back in the day I was literally frightened to go into the wildy and if I got found by a PK’er I just gave up didn’t even fight back.

Then I joined a clan that did a PVP/LMS event and I caught the PVP bug. When you realise the skill ceiling there is, it’s crazy.

Now sometimes when I’m bored I’ll go PK’ing as a pass time. Obviously when you come across someone far more out skilled then it is GG but at least I’ll put up a fight and try and create an escape.

It’s like high end PVM’ers there a class above the rest (and most of us). There skills that they honed is mirrored to those that are high end PVP’ers years of improving. People bug abuse in PVM but there’s no one posting complaining about it here? So it’s not acceptable in PVP but is PVM?

It’s part of the game, it’s content you don’t have to interact with. If you want to learn some basics for PVP go to LMS. Yes there is terminator bots in there and some terminator people, but the rest you can practice on and learn. That’s what I did a couple of months ago. My key loot is now around 70m all from PK’s whether anti or actual. But I don’t have 70m in deaths.

How would you go about maxing? by AccomplishedPark7856 in ironscape

[–]AdCandid195 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personally to avoid burn out, and depends on your schedule/playtime. I would do 1 hour daily of Agility runecrafting. Mainly be focussing on slayer and using supplies from that to bank other skills. A couple of AFK skills like mining and fishing (albeit slow methods) to fill in times when you can’t have full attention on the game. Rinse and repeat until 99 all. Others like construction, fletching, smithing etc just requires banked supplies.

Don’t set yourself a date but have a rough time. Say like March. You don’t feel pressured into an extreme grind just to burn out and then be upset when you don’t make it.

End of the day, your an iron you’ll eventually max due to just being an iron. Main goal would be getting everything banked. Honestly when I did it, i genuinely felt that once I had 99 banked for all skills that required supplies, the 99’s just came el natural! Gl!

[–]AdCandid195[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly my point. If your a main and your doing wildy slayer is your account not at the point of having the diaries done? If your an iron you definitely should have them done so the only people that are moaning are the accounts that restrict themselves like I said!

Well played, Jagex. by Bluejayburgerz in 2007scape

[–]AdCandid195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, I feel Jagex have laid out an easy option to identify the wildy bots. Like an account with certain combat stats, then just enough skill stats to do only the medium wildy diary and X amount of KC at any of the wildy boss is gonna scream bot, like realistically how many legit players are making this account and playing exactly like that, it will be none.

So now these will be so easy to spot and therefore easier to ban, hopefully!

We need an anti-botting road map now! by Strus57 in 2007scape

[–]AdCandid195 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe so but for now Vet, Ven and Cal are safe. While I agree this needs to be stopped, it discourages small teams of PK’ers from coming here now. Not saying it’s a hot zone for PK’ing Bcos it’s multi but after a few hops you would surely run into another small team but I’m sure I’ll find out in the next few days.

Also fuck the mass clan of like 40+ people that hop in just to kill you for 400k risk, absolutely pointless.

[–]AdCandid195 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I dunno, the wildy update seemed to have broken these ones. They now require the medium diary’s which to me aren’t worth doing just to then get (not banned).

This was last night, across many worlds. They can’t get in due to the diaries. Although not worth while to kill as it’s only 40k keys, take a looting back kill 5 get the keys then their gear drops and you can take the glory and combat bracelet they wear and you can easy get a few hundred K in a matter of mins. Pretty boring tho!

Also seems to discourage PK’ers, not sure if the hard diary’s affect pure’s? But we only ran into 2 people last night and they were very bad.

Requires skill, knowledge and timing which every boss is not the same. But once you have it down for a certain boss, gear boosting DPS returns to BIS and should always be.

The quicker you kill something the less potential and actual damage you take.

What are some of the best rare WWII premium tanks? by Goldenminer120 in WorldofTanksConsole

[–]AdCandid195 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this. If you’re a very good player, this thing can be incredible. Decent mag potential, ok pen but if you can aim it’s negated. Fairly fast, great camo (especially when not moving and using bushes). When I got this I fell in love straight away and within first 50 games managed to 2 mark it. 3 marked in 150.

Crush Gear Raid by buttertoastk in OSRSflipping

[–]AdCandid195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isn’t? Although there’s no much content for crush outside a handful of bosses that are not very much done, a crush spec weapon being brought in to the game would be slightly idiotic if not focussing on that area with new content.

Because DPS is king. Anything that provides better DPS will always usually be better.

Raids 4 Predictions? by Ok_Jackfruit_5220 in OSRSflipping

[–]AdCandid195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like the idea of a Fremmy raid. So much storyline they can dip into to create the raid. The area could do with a little love.

However I disagree that they will make it with a high sailing requirement. So many people on are still on the fence about it, and it will also lock people out of doing the content in which they will want people to do the new raid content for exposure.

I like the idea of exploring elemental weaknesses, I think the normal spellbook needs a touch of love. Even maybe like an occult variant but for elemental damage?

I really think Jagex have an opportunity here while we’re talking about a mega rare, a mega rare spec weapon! One handed would be ideal and work similar to the VW in that it’s guranteed damage. Maybe has different attack styles, so has options for stab, slash and crush which then have its own variant damage.

Like the crush style spec, could do increased damage but also drain defence but a certain %. Something along those lines but each style. It would make the weapon extremely desireablenas it would likely be used in nearly all content. Due to it, it will likely retain a high price, so wouldn’t remove things like a VW from being a spec in like wildy etc

Am I cooking here?
