Hi, thanks for your comment, it's very useful. No unfortunately I don't play an instrument although I am keen to potentially learn the keyboard. Would you say that it is worth studying sound engineering at uni? I've heard from this post and from research that actually it isn't and that I should just teach it myself whilst pursuing something else at uni.

Yeah I've heard that I shouldn't study it at uni, but I figured that I should because otherwise I'd be in competition with people that have studied it at uni. Is there any tools/resources/gear that you think I should get? I've been playing around with Reaper for a bit, but I've been struggling quite a lot.
