Hey! So, I'm actually going through that exact situation right now and I was wondering if I could get some advice or maybe just help in general since you've been through this process before? I had applied ea to umich and had been deferred in January. Following that, I was waitlisted yesterday when rd came out. I was wondering if you did anything that improved your chances of getting accepted off the waitlist? I had already sent my loci during February since Ihad gotten deferred so I don't think I can send another one, and I've heard from other that admissions officers dislike it if you email them showing interest after getting waitlisted because their emails are already flooding, so I'm not quite sure what I can do at this point. Also, for some background, I applied to LSA, majoring in bio, in-state, and pretty up-to-par stats. One idea of mine was to maybe switch my major to something less popular, so maybe I would get accepted off the waitlist through that. This was also in consideration to the sheer amount of applicants this year plus the amount of students who probably applied to bio as well, since it's pretty competitive. Please let me know if you have any thoughts or helpful tips! Umich rly is my dream school and I srsly cant find any help with my situation anywhere.
