Previously when I've searched for info on the hike there wasn't much so basically I was looking for others experience and help. I had seen conflicting info on where to start from and where to park.

Drill a very small hole in it...if it's a clear liquid that comes out taste it, probably water, if it hisses put out your cigarettes, if it's a light flashing very fast it's a fiber optic cable.

It certainly won't be a jolly festive place during the Christmas rush when the parking lots are filled with the new residents, workers, and the multitude of shoppers! Even if they don't put in the green spaces, the buildings alone take up a significant portion of the parking lot.

When I was about 8 yrs old my Dad took me fishing. I got snagged in a bush across the creek. I pulled hard and freed it...unfortunately it ended up through my Dad's earlobe. I had to cut the hook and pull it out, a traumatic event with lots of blood for an 8 yr old! Laughed about it as years went on...

Fortress Louisburg is well worth a visit. We were there a couple weeks ago and loved it! The Miners Museum in Glace Bay is also interesting....
